      Goalkeeper situ 2018/19
      Jul 19, 2018 03:20:41 pm
Looks like Alisson is coming in, now looks like Ward is going.

I had thought Mignolet was getting off and that Karius might go out on loan.  Ward leaving throws a spanner in the works of all that.

What do you think Klopp's plans are for the year ahead then?

Alisson first choice - who sits on the bench? And who gets a start in League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League?

I'm a huge fan of Grabara. At 19, we should look into loaning him out for a couple of seasons to a strong league for him to really progress.

Don't think we'll see a different keeper for the CL and League anymore, Alison is coming to be #1 on all major competitions, no doubt about that.

To me Mignolet should be the one to go, he is sh*t.

Karius is not a bad keeper IMO, but now with Alison don't see him getting a lot of games to be honest, maybe the Carabao Cup (or whatever it is called now) and probably a few FA and League games now and then, so maybe he'll look for another team, GAraba should definitely be 3rd choise.

Even if Loris leaves, Mignolet should go too, nothing personal against him, but don't want to see him in a Liverpool shirt ever again.

      What is this sh*te?

Do you see United resting De Gea in the league?

We play Alisson in every game bar the league cup.

      Calm down mate.

There will be the odd game, probably after CL games where Jürgen might, and I say might, want to leave Alison out.

And as DLS says who cares what United do.

      Grabara #3

Tend to agree with this apart from I think Alisson is going to be pure number one.. all league and champions league.

Karius will be the two and get the league cup and then potentially fa cup depending how we see things come January

Grabara will be promoted to number 3 and train with the first team day in day out

      Mignolet will leave..

Migs will definitely push for a move out. He's a bit of a squeaky wheel when he's not starting and the starter job is no longer available, so he'll want to move.

Bit of an over reaction there. For all we know we might be in a situation at the end of the season that allows for Alisson to be rested and Karius play the odd league game. It’s not unimaginable so I don’t know why you’re getting so worked up about it. Especially seeing as them precious Mancs done it, so yes, you do see them doing it under the right circumstances. Not that any of us care what they do.

He's 30 and  accustomed to starting, so yes  will want a move. But he has been pretty  much a model citizen in the squad since being benched.

Alisson should be starting every game apart from the League Cup. We've been trophyless for far too long to be f**king about with a second choice keeper for the FA Cup.

Depends who comes in for Mig and Karius even, also might depend on how long they have left on their contracts. Sure the club would want £15m + for Mig to offset the fee paid for Alisson but if he's offered less money he might sit out his contract.

Never a fan of Mig but Karius was doing OK till the final and he might want a clean break from the club to put that nightmare behind him.

Migs goes for 15m. Then our keeper situation is.

      1. Alisson
      2. Karius

We did manage to get to the final of the European Cup with Karius in goal.

I might be wrong but if Jürgen keeps Karius, which I think he will, I'm sure he'll play in a few more games than just the League Cup.

Pretty much saying he is uncomfortable with the situation and wasn't spoken to about the Alisson transfer.

Honestly don't know what to think about this. Maybe Klopp should have sat him down and talked to him about bringing in a new #1?

What does karius have to gain by telling the press this? I don’t get it.
