      Legend, plain and simple.

If that doesn’t inspire the players to win the next two games nothing will.

His goal will be the starting point of the journey to Number 7. Just like his save against Napoli was for Number 6.

      After hardship comes ease..

Ali has been in a tough spot recently with loss of form & more importantly loosing his Dad...

That celebration was put raw emotion & im really happy for him, he deserved that goal & all the attention that’s come with it..

Alisson perhaps could be deployed as our secret weapon, to go forward, certainly surprised West Brom with that great headed goal, to see the Reds snatch all three points !

He deserved it and it will put him in safe place. It will calm him up and will give him confidence for next season.

Does anyone else think the club is focusing on keeping our current stars happy and on good contracts to ward off interest in the current unreliability of the market?

I think we have always been very proactive in keeping and rewarding those star players that we want to keep to he honest.

No one can argue that FSG don't reward the top players at the club and these last five years or so is probably the most consistent period where we haven't been worried about losing our star players.

How many times in the past have we been worried every summer about which top player will look to leave?

They don't want to anymore, they all want to stay as we are now seen as a destination club for pretty much most players. You always will have that draw of the big Spanish clubs etc but nowhere near what it used to be for us where we worried every summer about losing out best player.

It's something I often think gets overlooked in any debate on the current ownership.

The big man signs on as well.

      Fantastic.

The club is in such a dire state I'm surprised that all our top players are looking to extend their deals. :f_tongueincheek:

I'd argue it has less to do with the ownership and way more to do with the manager. How many quotes do we see of players (our own and others) saying they'd love to play for him (current and retired).

And obviously success doesn't hurt, when you win Big Ears and a League title, you certainly raise the profile of your club.
