Does anyone else think the club is focusing on keeping our current stars happy and on good contracts to ward off interest in the current unreliability of the market?
I think we have always been very proactive in keeping and rewarding those star players that we want to keep to he honest.
No one can argue that FSG don't reward the top players at the club and these last five years or so is probably the most consistent period where we haven't been worried about losing our star players.
How many times in the past have we been worried every summer about which top player will look to leave?
They don't want to anymore, they all want to stay as we are now seen as a destination club for pretty much most players. You always will have that draw of the big Spanish clubs etc but nowhere near what it used to be for us where we worried every summer about losing out best player.
It's something I often think gets overlooked in any debate on the current ownership.
