Massive Curtis fan but don't think he's particularly effective in the "6" role. Was ok against West brom but he sometimes has a tendency to hold the ball a little too long. A little further forward is where he shows his quality.

I totally agree. His attacking attributes are massive for us.

Seen some pics if Curtis putting work in the gym the other day and the boy looks like he's putting on a few good pounds of muscle

Hopefully this will translate into him being stronger on the ball and in his challenges. I'm excited to see him play next season and see the progress.

Think he's already got plenty of strength but no harm on him bulking up over these next 18 months - especially the position he plays in and the fact he is, as it stands, probably our fourth choice CB.  Doesn't need to go full Xherdan Shaqiri though.

How is CJ not getting any playing time for the U21's? Definitely petered out a little in the last year or so. Still really young and has a big ceiling

Yeah, that's what I'm referencing. Hopefully Naby Lad is just rest to get ready for Porto. I hope CJ has a good game and takes this chance to show the other guys he will be vying for a starting 11 spot. He has the talent

Need to be careful here. Hes a massive talent but Im reading thats people have compared him.to a young Zidane, a peak Lallana, Coutinho and Stevve McManaman.

The boy does not need that. He needs to be allowed be Curtis Jones, with no pressure

Because we don't have U-21's. We do have U-23's, but it seems Klopp has made him a permanent member of first team squad.

Certainly a player, for the future, who should go a long way. He can only become better with experience .

Very talented player and I like his attitude too. Should be a mainstay for us in the years to come.

Quality tonight. Two fantastic assists and his general play was really good. He worked very hard and he did a good job of stealing the ball and starting attacks. I like how confident he is and how willing he is to take a shot or try to beat a player and something happen. He has to start against City unless Thiago is back.

Jones got 2 assists and it was his strikes that led to another 2. Must start vs City IMO, good to see one of our mids not afraid to fire off the shots on a regular basis.
