Jones has had niggling injuries this season


Last season Klopp put him in lots and he did well and in some big games but since the stress fracture he just hasn’t featured

If we bought Maddison in then Jones could be sold on.

I think there's a player there but the above scenario, or similar, I wouldn't be against.

We need more than one fresh face this summer and a bit of an overhaul wouldn't be a bad thing.

Gives the manager new ears to listen to what he's after.

Conor Gallagher will be another HG spot as well as Jude so no issue

There are a few young players at the club who need to find a settled position to play- Jones, Elliot, maybe also Nunez. Nunez is in his first season so it's understandable that he needs time to adjust.
For some older players like Milner the ability to play a few positions is a positive but Jones and Elliot need to be settling into 1 position. Are they a wide forward, a 10, a midfielder?

I definitely don't think Jones should be sold unless he wants to leave. He needs a season when he is fit and has more minutes on the pitch and I think he can still develop into a good player for us. He's probably never going to be the first name on the team sheet but can be an important squad player.

I think Bajectic has had more of an impact in his little stint than Jones had over the time he's been here. The only good games I remember from him are - 1 good goal against Everton and 4 assists against Porto.

Caught a bit of the under 21s game the other day — he didn’t look great. I know he scored a nice goal in the previous game.

With top 4 looking like a pipe dream now, I’d consider throwing him into the side to see what he’s made of. He’s barely played this season and if we’ve given him a long-term contract, we may as well see what he can offer.

Not judging him solely on last two performances but think he will be a nearly man just not quite at the right level

Well staggered to find the thread has been added to with people being critical - great play for the first , he was tidy in possession , covered a lot of ground , always look to play the ball through the channels. It was a decent performance from him

Not good enough. Our levels went up markedly when Thiago came on. Some apparently in love with him because he’s Scouse, I get it but he’s not the level of player we need.

Considering he's come in to games away at Chelsea and home to the league leaders he's done ok. The issue is the same weaknesses he had two years ago are still there. Holds on to the ball too long and lacks that cutting edge to his play.

Considering top four is gone though I wouldn't mind him getting a bit of run between now and May - either see if he improves or if he can put himself in the shop window.

Didn't think he did much wrong.

Played very well from what I saw of the game. Nice assist and when he lost the ball in the first half, he was quick to recover it.

I’m quite excited to see whether he can continue going strong for the rest of the season.

He did play very well and I like this real version of Curtis, this is more like it, hopefully he'll be this way now, instead of being too within himself, slow and thoughtful, I want to see him do well.
May be a turning point that game.

The best thing he is doing now is not holding onto the ball too long and using the better option

Aye jones was very good, started 3 games in a row now as well, would be great if he could keep this up for rest of the season, he can be very good on his day.

Hopefully he can stay injury free now and get a good run of form going.
