He was such a very generous man not only to supporters but to the local community you can see why he was so loved by the Leicester city fans and the larger community.

another problem is in a falling helicopter you can't even use a parashoot because people will just end up being caught in the rotors and hard to jump when it's spinning anyway.

That's not actually true Riba, the helicopter creates downwash so would actually push you downwards if you jumped out of it although you'd have to delay opening the shoot or you'd become tangled up in it, but if its hurtling to the ground anyway then you have little chance, but I think that would be similar in a plane as well. The thing I'm a bit confused about is that the helicopter had only just taken off, ie not much altitude, so unless it was a complete mechanical failure ie the rotors themselves seized up, then I don't quite understand why the pilot couldn't do a controlled emergency landing using autorotation. I'm thinking that this "accident" could be a bit more sinister than it first appears.

In any case very sad indeed and RIP

Absolutely awful really. By all accounts a genuine man with a real passion for his club and adopted town.

      RIP.

Absolutely awful news. I'm as big a sceptic of football owners as many out there but you can't question the influence he has had on that club. It's rare that you get chairpersons who are more or less universally loved but he was and rightly so. For what his club achieved over two years ago remains the most remarkable achievement I have ever seen in football. His legacy lives on.

It must be absolutely terrible for all associated at Leicester but most of all the families and friends of those who were taken on Saturday night in that dreadful incident.

      RIP to all.

Couldn't believe when got in Saturday and saw the news. Seen the images yesterday of his son being comforted outside the ground by Schmiechel & Vardy all very sad, especially when you consider how they've gone about things at Leicester. Always seemed to have gone about their business in a respectful manner.

      RIP

The ref had no choice. If he doesn’t follow the rules he gets marked down and demoted next week. It was clear from Lee Probert’s face that he hated doing it but had no choice. None of the Leicester players protested. They knew what the punishment was going to be but chose to accept it. You could make a case for the FA rescinding the card but what happens next time when a player wears a t shirt dedicated to his recently deceased mother?

the law is to stop controversy, such as imagine if dictator a lot of people dislike died, but some people adored... If somebody shown that it would be a messy situation, so the rule to just ban everything is equal and fair. I do think referee should be allowed some leeway where common sense applies, sadly it's all black and white according to FA, so people should direct the anger to the FA not the ref.

Terrible tragedy. Posted a sympathy note on their site. Very difficult for the fans to deal with the emotions and acceptance will be difficult if not impossible. Sincerest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.
