      LFC Video/Audio Thread 2018-19
      Aug 04, 2018 12:14:12 pm
As the new season is upon us & the pre-season is well underway, just thought I'd start this thread following on from last years thread. https://www.lfcreds.com/reds/index.php/topic,49810.0.html

Just going to post a tweet/video from last season to get things started, sound will need to be on, but it just says what it is on the tin.
Lets hope this season is the same, and by coincidence, these are our 1st opponents.

Some fantastic City propaganda. Tried to make us look like hard hitting brutes who rode their luck. Really they were outclassed. Didn’t happen a lot to City last season but three times we outclassed them.

I remember standing in the crowd on Lime Street with my eldest son on my shoulders( he was 3 years old) watching the lads show us the F.A.Cup for the first time in the clubs history. Also 3 days later I was at Anfield to watch Gordon Milne and Gerry Byrne parade the cup around the ground prior to thrashing Inter Milan. That was a Bill Shankly master stroke.

The 'New' Halfway House.  Never been in there but if you've ever walked to town from Anfield then it's not a massive detour from the ground.

Just want to share bellow video. It is from our anual reunion of LFC fans from EX Yugoslavia region. It is reunion of LFC fans that is held every year in a different EX YU country. This one is 8th reuinion from Belgrade. It is fascinating what Liverpool FC did that our politians are not able to do it. Bring together people from delicate region like a family. It just shows power of LFC.

Bit off topic, but apropos our convo Waltonl4.

Andy Robertson gives insight into dressing room arguments and Liverpool’s leaders
Andy Robertson believes passionate exchanges between players on and off the pitch show the leadership behind Liverpool’s excellent form this season.

The Reds are currently top of the Premier League and four points clear of second-placed Man City, having gone 18 games unbeaten so far in the English top flight.

Consistency has been key factor to their success so far, despite Jürgen Klopp regularly rotating his side to ensure sharpness and address the requirements of a particular game.

This has often seen captain Jordan Henderson and vice-captain James Milner left out, with the manager revealing in October that the squad had voted Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum as third and fourth choice for the role.

Beyond that quartet, there are a variety of leaders in Klopp’s side, including Robertson, who wears the armband for Scotland and told the club’s official website this week that this has led to some productive arguments.

“We have a fantastic captain in Hendo. [Wolves] was his 300th game for the club and that’s a great achievement,” he said.

“We’ve got Milly behind him as well and he’s a top pro, everyone looks up to him.

“Virgil is captain for his country so there are plenty of leaders on the park. I’m including Dejan [Lovren] in that as well.

“The more leaders we have got on the park the better as far as I’m concerned. There were a couple of arguments out there against Wolves—a couple of things that needed to be said and they were said.

“We all have the attitude that if someone says something to you, you have to take it on the chin. If you don’t agree with it, you deal with it at full-time or half-time and speak to one another.

“We have spoken together as a team. We do discuss things [and] have said that’s it’s about having that honesty between us.

“I think that’s something the lads have done really well since the start of the season. It shows the respect between us.”

This is a sentiment echoed by Van Dijk after he was pictured in a heated interaction with Henderson during the 1-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League.

The Dutchman said: “I love stuff like that because it shows you’re a proper team, and it shows you care and want to win.”

It’s clear there is an excellent team spirit at Liverpool, but as both Van Dijk and Robertson attest, it is better for the squad’s strong characters to lead by example.

The desire to win is high, and it is paying off as the Reds continue to push for silverware.

I think if you can call your teammate a lazy or useless git and they take it without having a major sulk then that's really a sign of a great team ethic. I am really excited about this bunch of young men very proud of all of them

I completely forgot that Brewster had been given the no.24 shirt. Klopp must think a lot of him cosnidering other players like Jones and Camacho still have quite high numbers.

One thing I took from that video is that injuries are always thought of in a negative light - and that makes perfect sense - but there are occasions when two players being injured at the same time can be a positive. In this case it has provided Brewster with the opportunity to befriend a first-team player and has created an environment where they can motivate each other to recover quicker.

Alisson delayed playing guitar with Jamie Webster and Liverpool fans will love the reason why

Alisson Becker has put down his goalie gloves and picked up a guitar in a special video made by LFCTV.

The Brazilian No.1 appears alongside Liverpudlian musician Jamie Webster but the video had to be delayed from being made for what many Reds fans will see as a valiant reason.

Speaking to the ECHO, Webster revealed the reason production was delayed, he said: "We were going to do it originally a bit earlier on in the season. But he (Alisson) actually put it back because he wanted to establish himself a goalie first, which I think is brilliant anyway."

Croxteth-born Webster is a singer-songwriter who plays Liverpool fan chants at BOSS Night sessions, and was the voice behind 'Allez Allez Allez', for which Alisson provides vocals for in the video.

During the 17-minute video Alisson and Webster chat about about football, Liverpool, Roma, Brazil and music, Webster runs through some renditions of Virgil van Dijk's and Roberto Firmino's songs.

Webster said: "It's a chance for fans to see the players have got something else to them than what you see on a Saturday afternoon.

In the video Alisson makes an amazing promise to the singer-songwriter who works as an electrician when he isn't performing.

Alisson agreed that he would sing with Webster if Liverpool were to win the Premier League title.

Webster said: "If we win the league he might be getting up to play a gig at Boss Night."

The 26-year-old shot-stopper has been a solid addition to Jürgen Klopp's side after joining from Roma last summer.

Liverpool fans will be hoping Alisson's 15th clean sheet will be won against Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend, and that he will be singing with Webster in May.

Truly stellar performance. Warmed up nicely heading towards Spring and the business end of the season. Wonderful listening to the comforting commentary with big Jan Molby on LFC TV as well.

Indeed. For anyone else who missed it.
