League campaign is just a formality. Only one team in it now. We'll drop more points than city and we are already behind.

F***ing hell, the corruption is unreal!! How can that ref possibly overturn that decision?! Sterling was offside when Aguero played him the ball!!

The goal was offside, the linesman flagged it, but bent ref gives it, and they score another!!

How can the ref even attempt to overturn it, he's behind the sodding play!

I blame myself for turning the game on for the 2nd half.

No earthly explanation for that first goal being allowed.

We can't compete. The decisions City are getting every week... last time it was a soft penalty, today overruled offside.. can't compete now.

If I was the linesman I’d refuse to run the line for that ref ever again, he’s just undermined him completely!

      Big pressure on us now.

If we drop points tomorrow it's all over.

From The Guardian match report: Maybe there is an earthly explanation:

"But after a long, long, long chat between referee and linesman, it’s been given! Janmaat, sliding in behind Sterling, had knocked the ball onto the City man before the ball went it. So Sterling was not offside any longer ... though Janmaat had only made the challenge because Sterling was offside in the first place! Controversy there."

Un Ful coming off for Watford. Always wondered why he goes by his middle name, though.

But the referee couldn't have seen it from that angle, City must have their personal VAR directly into the referees ear... that's why it took 3 minutes.

Except it doesn't matter because he was still moving to strike the ball, he was active. It's not as though he was stood still in an offside position and the ball was kicked against him and into the net. He had run into an offside position when the ball was played to him and was offside when he went to strike the ball. If he hadn't of been offside and active then it wouldn't have been a goal because the defender would have gotten the ball clear.

It's a load of bollocks and they've had everything going for them ever since that tw*t Kompany was wrongly not sent off for a last man foul on Salah.

I'm sure Alan Shearer will applaud the ref.

I haven't seen anything but also, didn't the Bournemouth keeper dive over the ball the other week, when every other game, he would have saved that with his eyes closed?

Something fishy going on here, me thinks!
