Woohoo, F**k yea. Super well deserved. The man is a lamppost with concrete foundations. We need his physicality in the squad. If he was on the bench at the weekend we should have thrown him on with 10 mins to go vs Chelski to change things up a bit, or to push VVD forward as a number 9.

New contract maybe a bit surprising but sensible to hold on to him until at least January given we have two centre backs coming back from serious knee injuries still and one of the other options is Matip.

Happy for Nat well deserved. Now we have 5 top CB options. Jürgen making sure there won't be a repeat of last season's sh*t show.

5th choice offered a 4 year deal, must be just to keep his price up.

Happy seeing him stay as I'm quite believe he's proven good enough for 5th choice.

shame for Nat, cos he may have got more minutes after that performance.

If a good offer comes in January we may not see him in the red of liverpool again.

January buys are typically to fill in holes, in other words teams need help right away. Not sure how long he'd be out with a Fractured Cheek but likely wouldn't play in January so I could see that putting off some teams.

      Possibly.

But id suggest newcastle could be sniffing round and would probably pay a decent fee.

Honestly they’d be foolish not to but they really need help right away so who knows. Looks like 3-4 weeks out for Nat so he could be ready for most of January I guess.

He is good enough to play in the EPL for sure and his game time is limited now to FA Cup and League Cup . A good Prem CB has to be worth at least £20 mil

I wouldn't be surprised to see a few teams trying to use his injury to try and lowball us.

20-25 sounds CRAZY, but so do all fees nowadays. Prolly his going rate in today's JANUARY market. Way more desperate times than in the summer.
