Ach, Im not fussed about wages and such, cos he always does a job when called upon.

But for himself and his career he should be at a good club playing every week.

Some other teams as well according to Pearce. I don't think we should sell him if we don't buy another CB. We are already facing a selection dilemma and we haven't hit our 4th game yet. We are going to need warm bodies.

TBH. I think its time for him to go, his position on the bench can goto one of the young lads like Quansah who played very well on sunday.

As Bobbi said sometimes older guys need to get out the way of younger guys.

We do need another senior CB or 2 I agree, but I suspect that not gonna happen till January or next summer.

I’m actually assuming Quansah is going to be a regular fixture and I still don’t think we should let Joe go.

I would be disappointed if he doesn't leave before the deadline, even if it's on loan, as I would have expected Nat to have the ambition to want to play more regularly and push hard for a move.

Same. Big man really should be starting every week somewhere.

He would stroll it with celtic I think.

Strange one that, given Brendan is notorious for playing out from the back and for all of Nat's talents, being comfortable on the ball isn't one of them.

I actually remember Nat being pretty solid with his passing and such.

The pressure on the ball playing for celtic is not the same as EPL. Apart from playing in Europe, different animal OBV.

I always thought Nat could start for loads of teams outside top 6 in EPL, so SPL should be a stroll.

Expected to be in Glasgow at some point today for his Celtic medical.

Just shows how quick transfers can happen.

Does this have any effect on the homegrown / non-homegrown spots?

Not too sure I dont follow that stuff to closely. Someone like LIP will know all that.

I'm guessing his departure is freeing the way for Quansah rather than us dipping into the market.

There were already 2 spots free.
It would only make a difference if the club actually signed anyone.
If he goes there are only 17 senior outfield players.

Interested to hear people's thoughts on that. Do you think that could mean we have some sort of deal for a CB in the works?

I feel like leaving Nat go out without replacement is not the wisest decisions considering our crop of CB would drop to 5 and that's assuming Quansah becomes a regular first team member (I know he was good against Newcastle, but its a bit of a long shot to already assume he's now part of the first team squad and can play the rest of the season with us. We need to see more before we reach that conclusion). We also have to account for the fact that Matip will naturally be in and out the squad with injuries and a similar argument could be made about Konate.

I think we might be working on something behind the scene.
