Brendan muttering about not getting his targets, celtic unhappy about playing so many cl qualifiers,  seems not all sweetness and light after losing to hearts

It's actually got a fairly big following. I live in Scotland myself and pubs are packed when games are on, especially the Edinburgh or Glasgow teams. But the standard of football is poor. I'd not put money on Celtic getting promoted from the championship.

I think that's fair. The way Celtic played yesterday and compare it with Leeds United (who in fairness have been superb)? A whole different level.

When O'Neil and McLeish were managing the Old Firm in their prime back at the start of the century, you could easily make a case that Rangers and Celtic would be top 5/6 in the Premier League - indeed who can forget Celtic beating us on the way to their final against Porto in the 2003 UEFA Cup? It's a marker of how much both sides have declined and how much the Premier League has ascended in the time since to now be saying that top Championship level is probably the level of the Old Firm.

I did a CTRL+F with SPL and Scottish on every page in European and World Football and it never shown up, there are just 4 pages. I should have used the search function in the black banner at the top. Then it would have found the thread in the incorrect place, "General football". Scotland is a European Country within the United Kingdom, makes no sense to have it in General Football and not with Bundesliga and Serie A etc.. in the European & World Football sub section. I vote to lock this new thread and move the "official" incorrectly located thread to the correct place.

Celtic owners are an embarrassment to the club and its loyal supporters. I'm shocked the fans aren't protesting they are investing nothing in to a club that should be competing in Europe with the finances they have. Rodgers will get the blame of course. Yes he's an average manager but certainly good enough to have a domestically dominant Celtic club playing in the CL if he is given money to spend.

Ejaria had a good game against Motherwell on Sunday, scored a good goal too.
Motherwell had a midfield that would fit perfectly in Wigan Warriors ;D

End to end game though in the pissing rain which was value entertainment at 3-3

Was a good game actually enjoyed it, shame for Steven they couldn't hold on at the end.

Be interesting to see how they start the Derby against Celtic on Sunday, cos you can imagine Gerrard will have his team well up for it.

Yeah, thought it was a tough hard fought physical game, tackles you don't see in the PL flying in all over the pitch.
Think Gerrard and Gary Mac are building a decent set up there, yes it will take time but If they can keep the momentum up there's no reason why they won't spoil a few parties this season.
They'll have to defend well on Sunday but they have some decent players in Ejaria, Lafferty and Morelos up front who can score goals.
Flanagan kept it simple on Sunday but his speed let him down.
Be nice to see Ryan Kent get on the pitch at some point.

Had a fairly decent second half in the Kilmarnock cup tie, don't whether it was him dropping out for Lafferty.

For those of you who watch Celtic, how good is Moussa Dembélé? Potential world class player?

Yeah kick off times were to be 12.30 and 7.45pm but it's the stupidity of having four sets of fans in the one city.
