      Pre-Match: Crystal Palace V Liverpool (20/08/18 - 8pm)
      Aug 16, 2018 08:54:34 am

Monday Night Football away to Crystal Palace. That brings back bad memories. None of our starting team suffered that infamous night and Dwight Gayle won't be playing either!

This is a real test. Selhurst will be bouncing and Palace will be confident after their opening day win also. I expect us to win with their players tiring as the game goes on. 3-1 Reds with Keita on the scoresheet at some stage!  :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6:

Palace are a dangerous team for us but we should have more than enough to beat them, but we have to stay 100% focussed all match.
Win this and I think we can really get on a roll.

I know!  Waiting till Monday bloody night!!

This will be a much more severe test of our credentials than the WH game.  Would take a narrow victory now and predict 1-0 or 2-1.

Really good game to test our midfield out vs a very organised defensive team.  They will most likely play 442 and probably double up on Salah and Mane all game! And with little space inbetween the lines, I wonder if we should look into a more offensive player than Milner in Shaqiri or Lallana?

Should be a tough game. Hopefully the additions to our squad will make a difference.  They will attack which will leave us space.

I also would expect no changes to the starting XI. Let's keep it rolling, Reds.

Surely this type of game is exactly why Klopp bought Shaqiri.

I'll be away with this weekend and back home Monday evening. Was really hoping this match was Saturday or Sunday so I can wake up early, kickback and watch.

Cant wait for this and I expect this is the kind of expectation we are going to have for the next 37 games.
Cant see anything other than a good performance and 3 points.

Following our performance against the hammers, I can’t think of any reason Jürgen might want to change his starting line up.
I think we go for the same, ( nobody deserves dropping after that performance) and am convince we will batter these. Gone for 0-3 and I think this will be the start of something truly awesome.
I go from cautious, to worried, to massively confident, all in half a day.
We do these and for some gut feeling, I think we will go on an unassailable run!
We can play, we can now defend, we can score from anywhere, we can dominate sides for 90 mins, and we’ve got quality on the bench.
Think this is our year, and more to follow.
I’m feeling now like I did in the 70s.
      Invincible 😊

I think we'll have the same lineup in defence and up top but the midfield will be different.

Henderson will probably come in for Milner and Gini may push up a little.

Think it's natural for LFC fans to dislike London teams or may be that should read it's natural for scousers to dislike London teams.

The plastics, ARSEnal, Spurs, Palace,QPR,Millwall,West Ham,Civil Service FC. What a shower, always a pleasure to do any of them. Think currently I dislike the Plastics the most. A bought and paid for club. It's fitting that Abramovich their owner started his business career selling plastic toys.

After putting West Ham to the sword Monday is the turn of Crystal Palace, whose main claim to fame is that they won the oddly named Zenith Data Systems Cup in 1991..

These day survival in the Premier League would be a major achievement. However they can muster a half decent attack when they are roused. Put them out of their misery, then contain them, leave them to squabble with the usual suspects for survival.

n.b..Palace beat those perennial losers Everton 4-1 in the final of the Zenith Data Systems Cup..

To me it makes sense to see what Shaq looks like as a attacking midfielder. It’s games like this that we struggle to break teams down. I would love to see his creativity brought in to the side. Before long we will really need it.

Loving all the optimism but we really need to temper it for at least 10 games.
Let’s keep the momentum rolling and start to integrate some of the other players when fit and see where we are in a couple of months.

I can see the same line-up as last week, very capable of getting the job done, Palace will offer a bit more of threat so be interesting to see how Gomez holds up and see what Alisson can do assuming they will get a few chances.
