Brighton was bad but this was a truly horrible performance, don’t think anyone can come away from that game saying they’ve put in a good performance. That was the definition of grinding out a result.

Thank F**k that’s over. I know we haven’t been on fire of late, but did missing Kieta unsettle the rest of the lads after his positive start ?
Can’t see how Hendo gets back in after that performance to be fair.
Motm I’ll wait till I can watch full game !

Five minutes injury time seems a bit excessive.

The game was held up for a while when we winded one of Their players.

We were boss for 10 mins early on then as soon as we were rattled by Leicester our confidence fell to the floor and never recovered.

We love doing it the hard way. Thought we were awful in the second half our midfield was non existent and it was a terrible game to watch.

Virgil looked like a 7 pound defender and needs to stop the F***ing arm waving. Can only see us playing better from here think quite a few are suffering from a Cup hangover and far away from being near top form.

Why is Gomez coming up and taking a long throw in the 91st min?
Why was he not doing this earlier..?

Alisson was always going to make that mistake at some point.

Hopefully he learns an early lesson from it and we still walk away with the 3 points.

      Spot on.

He needed to be punished to move forward as daft as it sounds.

Even if he’d got away with the Cruyff turn he was running back across the goaline with no pass available.......which is poor judgement/awareness to day the least.

Otherwise I thought he was excellent.

Well. That was scrappy and average. Wouldn't let Alisson's mistake take away from the fact that our defending was good against a quick, an surprisingly decent Leicester. That attack and midfield is going to have to buck up it's ideas though. Profligate, sloppy, unaware - gonna have to work hard to get up to the deadly levels of last season because that wasn't good enough. That said I was quite happy with our game management for most of the match. But at times that second half was bloody awful. Not good at all.

I'd like to say 'sign of champions - we play badly but still win'. Doesn't always work out that way though - 2002/2003 our results were brilliant at the start but our performances weren't. But eventually the results started reflecting our performances. No way am I saying that we're going to finish 5th or anything like that season but there comes a point where you have to start performing and that's what we're going to have to do with the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and City coming soon. Though I suppose similar to the rest of the league, our displays have been seriously impacted by the World Cup. The likes of Salah and Firmino so clearly under par compared to last season. Ironic thing that Mane and Firmino both scored and yet I struggle to think of a poorer attacking display by that trio.

Happy that Alisson's mistake didn't cost us in terms of points lost. Just needs to cut that out but he was another main reason why we won that with a world class save in the first half. A complete joke that the camera panned to Mignolet after that mistake - as if that f**king clown is the way to go. With Migs in goal we'd have lost or drawn at best today.

What has happened to Salah of late? Missing those easy chances. Over confident?
