Their A team beat our B team. No mental edge from that.

Hardly their A team, they made about as many changes as us. They put Hazard and Luiz on but we also finished the game with Salah and Firmino as well as putting on Hendo. Like it or not, they came from behind to beat us on our own turf, now we have to go to their place. You think they won’t carry the mental side with them then you are mistaken. We take the lead then they know they can turn it around, both teams rotated so don’t start with the rubbish of their A team vs our B team because it wasn’t like that and you know it.

We only had ourselves to blame for getting beat at Anfield,I can't see us making the same mistake again.

Can't see that being the case either mate,I do want to see us stick more of our chances away though.

Honestly lad, do yourself a favour and look back at your posts in this thread because you've come across as a right knob.

PM made a simple comment about one of their key players. It was accurate and relevant to the thread.

Your reply was just childish, uncalled for but more importantly it just wasn't true. You rambled on how you were right and then became sarcastic when you were proven wrong.

You quite often let yourself down with this type of attitude because in general, you're not a bad poster.

I apologised to him twice, but he wouldn't accept it, perhaps my response was a bit childish but I think its very rude not to accept an apology for what was a fairly simple misunderstanding, its not like I was effing and blinding at him as some people do to me ;-)

It obviously wasn't their full A team but Hazard and Kante played a lot longer than Bobby and Salah did for example, plus we swapped Mane for Bobby so yes they did have a stronger team on the field, you can't really dispute that.

Anyway of course they know they can come back if they go a goal behind but I would imagine most good teams do, even sh*t teams would fancy themselves to get back into a game at home.

      1-3 in the prediction league.

My reasoning is simple; if I put 3-1 to us for every match, which I have done so far, eventually, I'll get it right ;)

Hopefully this will be a good game.
I'm sure there are others who remember the Chelsea pitch resembling a freshly plowed field, but thankfully those days are gone, so we should see a decent game, and if we play at our best, we can win this comfortably.

Their whole game centred around hazard and we need to put someone to man matk him and rob him off the ball to start a counter. Their defence is not one that has really been tested yet and suspevt too. Don't let them get into our final third, push them out wide.

Well A team or B team, we will certainly have ourA team players on a lot longer, together today, and I think Chavs might realise they’ve come up against a real defence
today, and not a makeshift one.
      1-3 the red men !

Not feeling particularly confident about this one but then I rarely do going to the bridge. Will be great to have our keeper and back four in the line up today but the midfield battle will be key. Jorginho and Kante have been excellent this season so it’s up to Gigi, Milner and I’m guessing Henderson to match them

Full of confidence,  totally different game from mid week, they will obviously feel they can do us again being at home but we will be at full kilter and are a totally different animal,

Chavs are still a real threat tho so no complacency or they will punish, a win today is massive for us and a poke in the eye for our rivals, we'd open a 5pt gap on chavs and retain the existing 2pt gap over City, presuming they win today,

                                Alisson
          Trent Gomez Virgil Robertson
                             Henderson
              Milner                       Wijnaldom
                    Salah Firmino Mane

you may have to hold on to your selection whilst Jürgen contact Rib to see if he has anymore insight to his squads mental welfare apparently Henderson has "anxiety".

Walton,  You might think you are funny. You could we be. I'll set my alarm clock to remind me to laugh, otherwise I'll forget to give your humour the credit it deserves. Do you feel better now that your joke got some attention?

Anxiety apart I cant see us getting beat today putting Virgil, Bobby,Mo and Allison into any side is bound to improve it significantly taking out just poor Alberto and replacing him with Robbo is a bonus on its own. Our first X1 is a match for any side home or away.

Aldo reckoning he's seen the team sheet already. VVD starts and Hendo alongside Milner & Gini in midfield.
