By the way, this is what it's all about. Challenging the best in the world and showing them we're the sh*t not them. Not a team on the planet wants to play us.

It is probably the 80 year old's who can recall all the successes and failures this great club has achieved since winning the league in 1947.
Back to the match it was good to see us attack them from the kick off with what must be a record for the number of corners over such a short space of time.Well done Jürgen's MIGHTY REDS.

      You are right Billy .

As far as this atmosphere thing goes... they often put the mics in front of the away supporters.

Why?  I Don’t know.  I watched the match in a bar with no sound.

Check that.  They didn’t have the sound from the game on.  They had the jukebox blaring.

A match that had Salah, Mane, Neymar and Mbappe all playing, some of the quickest players around. Who was recorded with the top speed during the match?....Virgil Van Dijk, clocking in at 32.4km/h. Closely followed by Robbo at 32 and Gomez 30.8.

Not only do we have a rapid attack, but also a rapid defence.

Highlights the strengths that we are really improving upon as a whole unit.

      Quote from JD
Realistically though, that game probably did have a fair bit riding on it in terms of qualification from this group.

It had a lot riding on it. If the teams are level on points at the end, a 0-1 loss over there in the return, would give them the aggregate win, on away goals. Hopefully it won't come to that, but if it's a very tight group, away goals/aggregate results may be what make the difference.

It was a joy to watch Robbo v Mbappe, afterburners full on, making sure to get to the ball first.
