Good saves and all, for Alisson to reach "world class" level he needs to start putting toes and finger nails in big moments and keep those shots out. Some goals you're just not going to stop, but goals like Lamela's a couple weeks ago and Hazard's today he needs to keep out. They were big games and big moments where a De Gea or Courtois find a way to keep them out. Overall he has been very solid as expected, but we'll likely need more than solid to win the league.

Was Yesterdays performance not more than solid? Massive game and perhaps the first time he has had a few really important saves to make and he was excellent. I’ve been really happy with him.

I had to leave the house to go for family dinner with 10 minutes to play yesterday. I basically sat staring at the fc reds forum screen waiting for the score to change! Painful but very rewarding work!

Got what we deserved against a very good Chelsea team. Their midfield with Kante, Jorginho & Kovacic is potentially the best in the epl and they will be right up there with us and City this season.

I read a comment in the match thread bemoaning that Studge was only being given a miserly 4 minutes to do something (and I fully agreed) but apparently that was all he needed! Great to have an actual bench this season. Studge, Shapiri and Keita wasn’t too shabby was it!? Fingers crossed Lallana can get himself back in the game before long.

They live from what they get out of the midfield. Our midfield is pretty good, it's just that we'd need some more vertical and creative play from there. Gini/Hendo/Milly are like good "nice" housewifes that take care of the home, but we'd need at least some MILF there, so to speak. In that very sense Chelsea has the luck to have a true porn star with Hazard.

Why 5 mins to go only bring studge on. Typical Klopp. He should be on the pitch 15 mins ago.

      harhar...how long did he need?

I cant even be bothered to answer this.
When we sign Messi and Ronaldo Mane and Mo will be on the bench
Now you say that, I had a dream we signed Ronaldo last night.

Nitpicking eh? If Studge was brought on earlier, he could have scored 2.

World class from Studge, fantastic goal, deserves all accolades coming his way,...

..most of you guys are content with the draw...that's fair comment,  but for me Chavs go f***in lucky..we should have hammered them , the chances we had and should have taken would have killed them off before the hour,...

There were times where a bit more thought would have seen us score, i know the lads are not robots but it seems to be the trend so far that we need to be more clinical,
We're all waiting for us to 'Click' and we will, but we're still top and collecing points ,its title winning form and long may it continue,  ...
Great result,  not many will get points from the 'bridge this season, and  for me its the best away result until we do City.

Was wondering if Daniel has been working on taking shots from outside the box. We will have added ammunition this season if so.

Nar he had his positioning spot on, it's just the time of the shot coinciding with Alisson shifting his weight to the wrong foot.

As soon as he does that it's impossible to dive to the left and all he can do is exactly what he done.

Try to dive left and get something on the ball.

Rather than finding fault in the one thing he possibly done wrong (he didn't) we should be looking at how and why Hazard was allowed a free run at goal.

Trent was badly out of position and then got sucked into a space where he shouldn't have been which left a massive space for Hazard to run into.

But to be fair it was a great ball and a lovely finish and sometimes you just have to appreciate it for what it is.

Much like the Sturridge master class.

Thought we played pretty well against a good side. Think that Chelsea under Sarri will be a hard side to beat, and seemed to play better football.

Having said that we made some good chances and on the balance of play a draw is the lease we deserved. I see more resolve than in previous years, and we have made a great start to the season without playing particularly well.

I thought Alisson was excellent and could not be blamed for their goal. Great finish from Studge and at last we seem to have a bench that can change games.

The defence and Goalkeeper were superb yesterday, the midfield were pretty good defensively but quite poor in offence and the attack was really not good enough. As soon as we brought on Keita and Shaq the whole dynamic changed in our favour and it was a wonderful goal from Daniel at the end to earn us a deserved point. On reflection a very entertaining match but if our strikers were at their normal level then we would have won that quite easily I feel.
I really am getting a bit worried about Bobby and Mo, its a long time they've been out of their usual form now. Bobby at least still does his pressing and winning the ball back thing but Mo is almost like a passenger and is kind of a liability yesterday with has crap shots and poor passes.
Another point is that Chelsea is much better than I thought they were, Sarii has really transformed that team and I think they'll be competing with us and Citeh for the title.

Let’s get off the lads backs. That was a great effort and we got the point - the very  least we deserved, although Chelsea are going to be hugely competitive in the league. Brilliant work from Daniel - I can see him getting 20+ from the bench this season!
Salad looks tired and worried, like a man with the world on his shoulders. Wish I could have a cheeky pint with him and a give him a good laugh - but I guess he doesn’t drink! Well done the mighty Reds, goal of the season in the bag already, and still undefeated. YNWA
      Lettuce hope it’s just tiredness.

Although some might say it’s anxiety.

Might of been a different game had we got the equaliser a bit earlier, but will take the point. Thought the front three had an off day, but good to see us keep going. What a strike by Sturridge though, after all the eulogizing in the media over Hazard, Daniel goes and tops it with that goal. Still unbeaten in the league, level on points with City and those bottling manc bas**rds up next. We just need a coach reception for the wankers!!

Gini Keita and one of Hendo or Milly has to be our first choice midfield from here on. I do not want to see Keita sitting on that bench again in a big game.

The way to score at the bridge these days is to lob it into the top corner from outside the box. First Hendo and now Daniel. We really need to have this shot in our arsenal to counter defence sitting deep.

GK was good (not very good or he would have saved the goal), defense was good (not very good for they got overrun not only once).

      Just mediocre all around.

and the attack was really not good enough.

I see it more positive, Bobby and Mané worked, Salah is a non factor but his reputation makes our opponents keep a deeper line.

I agree. Gini-Hendo-Milner is not good enough for bona fide clubs. Put in Keita or Shaq or both or Ox (soon hopefully) or Fekir (who knows what happens in January) and it becomes deadly.

Daniel contributes something special to our attack. He's just dangerous. If he'd work like Bobby he'd starting.

I agree. At least Mo played a bit more commanding and non-sloppy than vs. PSG, but overall poor. Still no worry though, it's normal that you have good or bad stretches.

Chelsea had a decent plan and footballers capable of playing it, yet still, if we'd gotten more than the point, they couldn't have felt hard done by, nor could we either.

Their tactic of forming passing triangles around our main pressers was very effective, not many teams have the players to pull that off though.

Sarri is pretty good a manager, but then he has Eden Hazard who is quite special and on fire as well recently.
Disappointed not to get the 3 points, however they're pretty strong side, unfortunately.
The good thing is we didn't lose, hence not surrendering 3 points to them.

That was, arguably, Danny’s best goal as a Liverpool player. I mean the quality of the struck ball. Unbelievable strike.

Yep, was watching it again this morning, and it was very noticeable, but also meant their 2 banks of 4 had to be close together a lot of the time, which kind of isolated their attackers, but since they were relying on a breakaway goal it wasn't that important.
