      Pre-Match: Liverpool V Manchester City (07/10/18 - 16:30)
      Oct 04, 2018 09:02:19 am

There will be people pressing the panic button after last night and looking for all sorts of changes for this game.

In my opinion, I'd trust the lads who have done us so well to get back to form and reignite our season.  We have hit a little stumbling block in the past few games but we are still unbeaten in the league and I expect us to return to form Sunday. 3-1 The Reds!!!  :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6:

This is the most important match this week and this year. If we win it would be massive statement.

I'm confident it will be different performance and 3 point in the bag.

For God's sake when will people realise that a midfield of Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum doesn't F***ing work, how many matches do we need to have it demonstrated before poeple wake up to this. In fairness yesterday Klopp didn't have much choice, due to Keita's injury, but in hindsight I'd have brought on Shaquiri or even Sturridge as the AM as we have to shake things up and inject some creativity and link to the front three because the three we had yesterday just kill every game in terms of creativity.

Just me amount money we spend and still have play midfield of Henderson milner if keita is out with injury, we should got rid of Adam lallana and brought in playmaker for midfield that boss game give killer pass open up games

Those three horses dominated City in the Champions League last year.

That's last year. Don't mean sh*t right now. That's a team setup to lose. Gini should be #6 with Milner and Shaqiri on.

Gundogan and De Bruyne both out injured makes City's midfield significantly weaker.

Gini, Keita and one of Hendo/Milly need to start we will get the better of them in the midfield battle.

Bring Stu and Shaq on at 70 mins no later if our front lads are still playing like sh*t.

Starting to fear for this match a bit now.  We've looked not quite at the races for a number of matches this season whilst grinding out some victories.  Think City won't have a better chance of ending their Anfield hoodoo.

We need to up our energy levels, decision-making on the ball, crispness of passing & movement and maybe make a couple of changes, otherwise I see a tough 90 mins in store.

They will be worried about playing us!

I honestly believe they are scared of us and how we can hurt them.

Gini has to play he has been very strong this year.

I would also play Shaq as attacking midfield behind the front 3.

Not sure who to play next to Gini though, maybe Milner just to hold.

Same 11 cant start. It was way too flat last night. The middle trio wont suddenly spadk in to creative genius against the best team in the league.

Whatever about the front 3 starting again the mid 3 cant. Id even accept an out of left field change like Trent moving in to mid with Clyne coming in or whatever. People saying that mid 3 was the backbone last season are overlooking the fact our front 3 were sublime last year which they arent this year so far. the mid 3 didnt have to muck in with goals. They do now but they wont

People saying that 3 were the backbone last season are ignoring the fact that they very rarely played together at the same time. IN any case its irrelevant, that back 3 is currently sh*te and should not be played together. FFS Jürgen give Shaq a go as your AM, anything to spark some bloody creativity into this team because at the moment we are fairly flat.

Hopefully the napoli result will give us a kick up the arse.  Our front 3 have to click sooner rather than later.

Those three horses dominated City in the Champions League last year.

      5-0 (Loss)
      Fernandinho, De Bruyne & Silva
      Henderson, Wijnaldum, Can

      4-3 (Win)
      Fernandinho, De Bruyne & Gündogan
Can, Wijnaldum & Ox ( I think it was more a double pivot)

      3-0 (Win)
      Fernandinho, Gündogan & De Byune
      Henderson, Milner & Ox

      1-2 (Win)
      Fernandinho, De Bruyne & Silva
      Wijnaldum, Milner & Ox

I do agree with Rib, it was last year, so it means f**k all.

I think Klopp will go for the same midfield that ended the game vs Napoli, and if he does, maybe Sturridge should play instead of Firmino as he offers more of a threat?

This sounds terrible, but with our form right now I’ll be happy with one point. Ideally 3 is nice beings that we are at home, but we look like hammered dog sh*t right now. If we got a point into the break with a weak schedule coming up I would be okay with it

I am interested in who Klopp decided to put out after that mid-week performance. I feel that the three option he does have in terms of the middle are (A) If Ketia is fit start him again (B) Play Shaqiri in the middle (C) Play Sturidge up top an drop Firmino into a deeper role. I am hoping we show some cutting edge no matter who plays and bang in a couple goals since traditionally been a high scoring fixture the past couple of games. I think this match really changes the outlook of our recent run of tough fixtures, winning this match will give the team good momentum going into the international break because next block of games between October international break and November international break are good to really go on a good run (Hudderfield (a) Red Star (h) Cardiff City (h) Arsenal (a) Red Star (a) Fulham (h))
