Shaq is going to be a backup all season. He will almost always play as a sub and is most useful for late energy as a wide forward. If Salah has to miss, Klopp will use Sturridge, not Shaq.

Virgil should play, matched w Gomez and Trent and Robbo at full back. Milner will miss for Keita, who will play alongside Hendo and Gini.
So glad we will be playing again this weekend, but it was good to take a break from obsessing this past week.

I just get a feeling and I may be completely wrong but if he listens to Jürgen he could prove to be every bit as good as our front three.

Mane and Salah look likely to be out for this one. VVD could be a doubt.

Surely we still have too much for them?

      Chelsea host United.
      Man City host Burnley.
      Tottenham go to West Ham.
      Arsenal host Leicester.

      Then:

      We host Cardiff.
      Chelsea go to Burnley.
      Arsenal go to Palace.
      Tottenham host city.
      United host Everton.

These two games are massive for us. The other teams will drop points somewhere so we've got to get maximum points and take advantage. On paper, they should be straight forward wins no matter what team we put out.

      Alisson

      Trent
      Gomez
      VVD
      Robbo

      Hendo
      Keita
      Gini

Spot on about other teams dropping and us needing to take 6 points out of 6.

Sounds like Mo Salah is going to miss, so probably Sturridge instead of him. Agree with the rest of the team, though.

Yes, this is not FM or Fifa, so if that trio isn't fully fit, we shouldn't risk it as we have significant cover.

Ok all I'm saying is I guarantee Fabinho and Lallana who have not started a league game this season both come in from the start. Especially Lallana who has done nowhere near enough to be considered.

Add Shaqiri and Sturridge to that and that is a lot of rotation. It doesn't matter. It wont happen.

If it does and we miss the other 3, I still think we have enough to beat Huddersfield.

      TAA, Gomez, Lovren, Robertson
                   Fabinho
            Hendo       Wijnaldum
                  Shaqiri
            Firmino       Sturridge

Our reserves should have enough to beat Huddersfield and Cardiff.

Quitely confident Mo will be ok, Milner too. Think Mane could miss out though with it being a broken bone.

You're right.  6 points from our next two games and you would expect the rest of the top six to be a lot more stretched out behind us.

Just hope the knocks and efforts from the international break don't cost us, or give some of the lads excuses.  How many Huddersfield players have been away on international duty?

Yes, sounds now like Milner and Mo will both be fit.

People calling for Fabinho and Lallana. I think if we see either of them starting a match it would be vs. Red Star. I can see that for Fab, not so sure about Adam.

Reading through his player thread, it's apparent that some have forgotten just how effective Lallana can be.
He scores a few, sets up a few, good in tight spaces, but he is also a nightmare to play against because he just never stops harrying, niggling away, tackling, chasing, tracking back etc etc

The only real question about the lad is not one of ability, but one of fitness and injury problems.

Gomez back at CB, Keita into midfield and Shaqiri in for either Mo or Mane (hopefully one of them are fit). Toss up between Firmino or Sturridge for the central spot.

Last month was the 'headline' month with all the big fixtures but the reality is this coming month is much, much more important. 10/12 in the next four league games and the double over Red Star puts us in a fantastic position.

Pretty big question though isn't it. BTW when was the last time Adam actually played a string of games for us, games where he had a meaningful impact?

It’s a matter of can we get him to the fitness he needs to be without harming results.

Our fixture list right now is ideal for this. Before his first big injury for us he was the best player on the pitch for us for about 4 months straight. Short memories mate as we know too well from countless other players.

I'm hopeful it's just one of those periods players sometimes go through where they never seem to have any luck with injuries.

As far as I'm aware, it's all been muscle injuries, so that's a good sign.
I think it's time for him to hang up his international boots as well.
I don't know what successive England managers do in training, but a lot of Lallana's problems seem to happen when he goes away on international duty.

In fact, if I had my way, international matches would be scrapped.
A complete waste of time, just to enrich a few corrupt FIFA tw*ts.

Why does it always feel like most of our players or most players in general get injured when with their country and not with the club.

I hate international football. There should be qualifiers for tournaments, tournaments and that is it! Friendlies or pointless competitions like the Nations League should be in the summer.
