Thank Christ, got the 3 points.
Credit to the defense, they're the difference this season, another clean sheet and our one decent shot wins it today.
Nice finish from Mo, but holy F**k, some of his passing was unbelievably bad. Two or three times had a chance to play an easy ball to give a guy a shot, and fluffed it.
Thought Lallana did OK considering the amount of game time he's had, need him getting up to speed.
Didn't think Danny had one of his better days, can look v wasteful if this left foot hits curl 10 yards over instead of into top corner.
Thought Shaq did well, might have had a few chances to hit one if he some of the lads were able to hit a simple pass.
Could also do with more from the new boy, Fabinho still looks a bit hesitant, hope he puff his chest out soon.
Lads in back 5 - fair play to yee, stuck at it and battled to keep it out.  Thought Gomez was the pick today, looking very accomplished and solid even though switched to FB.

Just need to get through this phase and pick up as many points as we can - until the front lads get their mojo back.

Jürgen looked fit to burst at times. Can't help but smile though, his reactions are great :)

Joint top. And we absolutely have not even started going through the gears. Settle for that..

In fairness to Huddersfield, they were really good and a far cry from the passive team we beat too comfortably last season. Clearly they've worked hard in the international break and deserved something better. Ok, they didn't create much but they had far more of a purpose in their game than we did so on that basis they deserved at least a draw.

"Imagine when we start playing well - we'll hammer someone."

We can't keep saying that. We really do need to start playing well or we WILL come a cropper before long.

That said, 3 points. Fab looked classy when he came on and VvD is fast becoming one of the best CBs we've ever had on current form.

Salah scored but worries me and so does Bobby

Klopp needs to release the handbrake & let us rip.. Klopp himself has admitted being more defence minded has cost us our attack play ..

Got a long way to go but I think Lallana did really well in context of how little football he's played. Had a bit of rust but was impressed by his energy. Worked hard and with a bit more time maybe that pressing machine that he was the centre of can return to its best.

Agreed reminded me of the Lallana of a couple years ago. Milner did nothing in the game time for him to come out for a bit I think

That's about as bad as it gets in victory and a total steal really.

We got some rest into a few and some minutes in to others so other than the bad performance a good outcome really.

We do need to improve though!

Well can only take the three points and move on

      Still unbeaten and joint top

Have allowed further players to get a rest and show we do have strength in depth

At times it needs a shocking display and to grab three points to give teams a kick in the backside

Goes against out instinct doesn't it which can perhaps go a long way to our attacking impotence in comparison to last season. Games like these are the perfect chance to unleash something different.

They'll say 'proof is in the pudding joint top and best start to the season in 10 years etc etc' but no one can underestimate the feel good sense and adrenaline that such performances can provide. They say it's pragmatism but surely pragmatism is doing what comes best to you?

       What a sh*t house of a game...

Knew that it would be a tricky one, but not such a poor one...

Think that we needed to play a front three of Lallana, Sturridge and Salah if for no other reason than to prove that it simple does not work... Midfield Henderson and Milner ...

Played together lack creativity and have too many mistakes in it...

Shaqiri... Great pass for the goal, and overall played well, But needed to give more and impose himself more on the game

Sturrigde... As a sub, Ok... Still has a goal or two in him, But starting a game...? He simple does not have it in him to play at that level anymore, or should I say the level Liverpool wishes to play at...

Lallana... Yes he will run, yes he will press, but does little else. Has no end product

Today has shown me one thing... Players need to go come January and some real quality need to be bought in even if it is just one player, but real quality is what is needed

Good three points but just a matter of time before the wheels fall off unless we find another couple of gears.

I’m not relieved I’m fed up of this turgid attacking play we’re serving up. I get you cannot bowl over teams week in week out but this level of performance isn’t good enough

I don’t think it’s a case of the hand brake being on - today the difference between getting 4 or 5 and having the 1 goal was the final ball

A better final ball from a lot of the players would have resulted in clear chances - don’t see it being the tactics as such just poor execution at the moment

Been saying that for sometime now, some real poor balls being played by them both. And even the goal scored by Sallah today could not hide the tension he is feeling at present, Mo smile on Mo today

Not going to get that from lallana, just not very creative. He's played 170 matches and only assisted 27.

Am I the only one not overly worried by Salah's performance? He moved well, had some lovely touches and, yeah a couple of misplaced passes but he was clearly an asset to us today. He was let down by the poor performances of those around him more than anything.
