Been saying that for sometime now, some real poor balls being played by them both. And even the goal scored by Sallah today could not hide the tension he is feeling at present, Mo smile on Mo today

I’m praying for an Avalanche against Red Star and Cardiff we probably won’t play 2 poorer teams this season

Am I the only one not overly worried by Salah's performance? He moved well, had some lovely touches and, yeah a couple of misplaced passes but he was clearly an asset to us today. He was let down by the poor performances of those around him more than anything.

I thought he was good today much sharper

And on the plus side - still only 3 conceded is a great effort so far. There's a quad of Allison, Gomez, VVD and Robbo to thank for that - best 4 players this season so far.

      1. Another pathetic performance and that makes me wonder if we are what we are; if you can't get up from 2nd gear, maybe that's all you got?
      2. Lallana got to be a winner of this game, showed some promising moves, got involved, high energy, despite being injured forever.
      3. We need a midfield playmaker, our offense sucks because no decent delivery from midfield.
      4. Shaq could be that playmaker; game winner assist to Salah, very promising (tiny) signs, needs more game time to develop.

Yeah wouldn't mind us dropping Lovren again, shifting Gomez back to the middle and putting Trent back on the right.

Don't think Lovren deserves to come straight back in myself, still makes silly errors. That attempted clearance and crazy slide what just missed could have cost us on another day.

Cited are obviously outstanding but they haven’t played any real quality in the league yet this season (played arsenal away early doors but arsenal were in big transition then). Go away to Spurs next Monday and play Utd with 2 games against Shaktar sandwiched between so we’ll see what they’re made of

I don’t think it’s a case of the hand brake being on - today the difference between getting 4 or 5 and having the 1 goal was the final ball

A better final ball from a lot of the players would have resulted in clear chances - don’t see it being the tactics as such just poor execution at the moment

I worry for anybody who doesn't see it like this

That was a perfect game if we are going to have a poor performance, if we played like that vs a half decent side I think would of lost. I understand that we don't press as much to not leave ourselves open so because of that we don't create as many counter attacks but the theme continues no matter who we have out in the attacking trio that the sharpness and killer ball just isn't there when we do get into those position. I guess I can hope for is maybe sooner rather then later we will fine it cause if we are not going to be threatening on the counter teams will not fear going at us and putting pressure on the defenders.

Positives were another clean sheet which is always good and 3 points which in the end most important. Maybe the next game vs Red Star where the attack comes together.

Well if we are sh*t and nobody seems to dispute this how can we be on the same points as City and ahead of Chelsea.
The others must be completely sh*te or maybe Jürgen has found a way of grinding results out when we are clearly out of touch as a team.

exactly and now many points did we have this time last year with him in the side. This is a side with massive potential and that is clear by the way we are joint top and playing really poorly

      We remain unbeaten.

This remains our best ever start to a PL season.

      I cannot complain.

Didn't see the whole game so only impressions, but looked pretty disjointed. Bobby and Mo still looked off form, although good to see Mo scoring. Lovren made a couple of mistakes in the bits that I saw - hopefully Jürgen gets Trent back at RB and Gomez in the middle again soon ( Gomez looked like he had another good game). Just don't trust Lovren.

Positives were Lallana looking pretty good - forgotten man, but I've always rated him and he could be important for us this season. Also Studge playing a full game. Gini looked like he played well too. And the win of course.

Bottom line is we are joint top, and we know Bobby and Mo will get better, and we will get more dangerous going forward when they do.

One real highlight with the pass from Gomez cutting through the Huddersfield midfield to find Shakiri and that was about it.

No idea what is going on with the forwards but that pass at the end by Firmino which a park player could have executed almost had me throwing my beer at the telly. Sums up our issues at the moment when the front 3 can't make the simplest of passes and keep giving the ball away.

Hoping Klopp can sort it out asap.

Really you must have been watching another game then.

As he bought some composure to the midfield and broke up play pretty well with our front line constantly giving the ball away.

I thought Lallana drove the forward press really well caught them out many times he also did well getting back.
Shaqiri seemed very disciplined but young Joe is just so cool what a player he is now and what a player he is destined to be

Klopp needs to release the handbrake & let us rip.. Klopp himself has admitted being more defence minded has cost us our attack play ..

Do you think he really believes that or is he taking pressure off the players? I trust what klopp says more than most managers but I find it hard to believe it’s either/or, feast or famine, free-scoring attack OR tight defense. The best teams have both, and there’s no reason we shouldn’t.

I’m not relieved I’m fed up of this turgid attacking play we’re serving up. I get you cannot bowl over teams week in week out but this level of performance isn’t good enough

First game back after sh*t internationals..That’s what I putting it as..
