See the difference with Creative quality from midfield

Yeah, but having a more technical player deeper helps immensely. We have looked so fluid when on the ball because of that... and Shaqiri of course :)

Shaq and Robbo have been immense.

Oh and boy does Fab give another dimension to our attack, it’s going to be great watching him develop as the season develops.

Perfectly suited to Shaqiri this kind of game and opposition.  Going to be a key part of our 14 man matchday team.

Only disappointment is that it probably should be more than two goals.

Fabinho looking very confident as well, and even with a couple of poor crosses and shots - Robertson, as usual, playing like a boss.

Robbo the standout for me, but Shaq and Fab have been great too.

Shout out to Gini and VVD as well. Marvellous footballers.

At least one person who agrees. Wijnaldum has been massive and has provided the platform for Fabinho to roam around a bit more.

Robertson, Wijnaldum, Mane and Shaqiri all very good in the first half.

Things hopefully starting to click again.

Fabinho had a bit of a mixed bag but grew in to the game and has played some nice stuff.

Shaq looking really good and giving us something that we have lacked in midfield this season.

Wijnaldum has really impressed me first half, probably the standout for me.

In the second half of last season we had the pace and strength of Alex coming thru and I think we missed that early on. The service from midfield hasn't been as urgent as it should be. May be Shaq is helping to provide that link. There's no doubt Salah,Mane and Bob need pace to make it work.

No damage done but we need to up the anti from this game and onwards.
