That's quite defensive but could work.
Strangely enough when I’ve watched Fabinho play he does not come across overly defensive. I’d put him in the ‘box to box’ category. He also seems to press a lot higher than most of our other midfielders.

hope can you say their attack is functioning better if they mostly faced lesser teams?
Personally I think Arsenal are doing well, but we're doing better.

That's because you can only judge on the teams that have been played by both clubs so far. No doubt when arsenal come up against better sides their attack may not function as well.

To add more solidity to the back line. TAA is very good while attacking but when it comes to defensive duties he is less skilled than gomez. So to have a strong defense gomez goes on to the rightback role while lovren comes into the centre back role with vvd. This is smart from klopp as it gives us a solid backline.

So you breakup whats been an outstanding partnership to bring in a very iffy defender in Lovern instead of leaving the centre alone and bring in Clyne at right full if were worried about Trents defebding, which personally im not.

      Nope dont get it

When Klopp got him in, he said he could play a number of roles; 2, 6, 8 so I don't understand why so many seem convinced he was bought as a 6 only.

He's played in a staggered 3 so far, with Wijnaldum doing a lot of the defensive stuff.

Be interesting  to See if Fabinho will get any game time at RB as he does for Brazil or if Klopp sees him as CM only

The more I think about it, the more I want to see a Wijnaldum, Lallana and Milner midfield and really get at them, shaking them up early in the game with some high intensive pressing and try to nab a couple of early goals :)

We have Trent, Gomez and Clyne. Unless there is a massive injury crisis he will never play there.

So he is good enough to play for Brazil at RB but has to wait until 3 players who are not first  choice RB for their country to be injured before he will play there ?

Well it wouldn't make much sense to me to play him there ahead of a natural full back unless we have an injury crisis.

I'm not sure how many times he has played for Brazil but recently both Alves and Danilo have been injured which may have allowed for him to play there.

It is interesting with Lallana because most consider CM/CAM when they talk about it yet early on Klopp started him in the wide position of the front three. I don't know if that is because he feels Lallana doesn't have his fitness up high enough to play in the middle yet or he feels he is better suited with the front three.

No I wasn't questioning your opinion just if he could do a job for them why not us , however as you say doubt Klopp would utilize him there , would be interesting to See how he got on though

He was a FB all his career I think, until Monaco switched him to DM.

Fabinho can be a FB or DM. With Moreno looking like Moreno, either Milner or Fabinho might be rotated with Robertson. I'd rather have Fabinho as DM as I'm fedup of seeing Henderson playing an average game then listening to people saying MOTM from Hendo and any critisism is met with stats, insults, armchair pundit or he's following instruction. Fabinho does what Henderson does in a more positive way, he makes something happen to change defense into attack. Putting him as FB feels a waste, if we had two of Fabinho it would be worth it though. Brazil have other quality options for DM so that's why they can do that. Our other options are sufficient but Fabinho is above that.

Promises to be another nail-biting, end-to-end match. The two teams play different but entertaining brands of football.

A draw would be a satisfactory result,  although a win even better. Should at least an entertaining game.

The VVD-Gomez partnership is crucial today, this Arsenal attack is all pace. I can kinda understand Lovren coming in for the Cardiff game given how they like to play but these two are our best CB pairing and need to start.

As for Shaq starting in midfield? Not a chance people. Klopp still doesn’t trust him there. Notice he moved him wide almost immediately after we got the 2nd goal last weekend? I don’t believe he is quite where Kloppbeants him to be from a defensive standpoint at this moment in time. Will be great to have Robbi back after done R & R.

I expect Lallana may start again in central midfield.

Cracking game and I’m looking forward to it. I suspect we need to win it (and games like this) if we really want to challenge City who haven’t looked liked dropping points all season. Just have to stay with them and their form falters or the whole team gets injured.
