I could not watch the second half live, will have to catch it later.

Better performance compared to previous games in the first half and I would say that the Salah goal is for me one of the best goals scored this season because of the awareness shown. Newcastle were celebrating, then had to react to being offside and in that short period of time, Allison recognized there was an opportunity.

      That was crazy.

Actually, Allison did not recognise it. He was still berating the players for letting them score when VvD pointed out that there was an opportunity to counter attack.

Klopp is too nice at times, that's one of the reasons people like him and are quick to defend him. He's a good manager, but he does need to be more assertive at times. I'd certainly hope Klopp claims every 50/50 going forward. I just hope if we get the same referee again he doesn't remember Klopps comment... because we may not get the next 50/50 if Klopp is going to say correct decisions that benefited us were incorrect. I've not seen any manager do that before, I've seen managers talk utter trash when moaning what went against them but that can be expected and understood. I can't stand Ferguson but I think he won titles on the mentality of claiming everything he could and complaining about everything that went against United, pre match and post match. I'm in no way saying be like that, but there's a thing as acting like a walkover.

If the ball was moving it was only just moving and if they stop every freekick because the ball was moving even slightly the game will grind to a halt.
Also we could not have scored that goal because VAR would have been reviewed and VAR takes so much time review.
Good solid win keeps us up there and there is so much potential in this team its frightening

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned but our set pieces were absolutely shocking yesterday.

Free kicks in great positions hitting the wall and corners either flying out the other side or failing to get off the ground.

Just seen MOTD and a suspicion of Shearer's optical senses not being what they should crept in.
He claimed the offside goal disallowed for Fulham was "questionable", also the kick out by Alisson subsequent to the Salah goal should not have stood because the ball was still rolling when the goalie kicked it??
Slowed down the footage shows the ball coming to rest before contact by Alisson.

Don't usually have the volume on MOTD and the Sheared bollox ensures that will definitely be the setting in future.

      I'm talking about Klopp below.

“In the end we were a bit lucky and maybe because of Robbo it is not 100 per cent offside because of his heel. We cannot change it, Fulham cannot change it.

I can say now, it was 100% offside and there's nothing to change. Perhaps you were unaware Klopp basically said the Fulham goal should have stood. I don't expect that sh*t from our own manager. I can categorically say Robertson didn't play anybody onside.

Just to end any discussion by any member that Fulham's "goal" was...

^ Re the offside situation I think whatever Klopp say about it he just say for the saying as even him also very far away to see or not at right angle to judge it.  Only one who see the situation best is a lineman and he judge it right.

Thing I concern a bit from the game is Bobby Firmino. He seemed not right playing CAM. Hopefully Klopp can bring the best out of him if he want to continue playing Mo CF.

I didn't realize Klopp said that till a few newspapers picked up on it. Guardian and talksport being the ones I remember. These are just comments Klopp didn't need to make. I didn't see the match live, but from the highlights it looks like Fulham had got chances. International break has come at a good time for us because we need to control games a bit more. We doing well points wise which is the best thing we can take going into the international break.

These complaints about Klopp saying Robbo played Mitrovic on are a nonsense. And Refs won't take any notice of his remarks. Klopp would laugh at such suggestions. Or more likely he's be irritated at the ridiculousness of such comments.

Similar with moans that we should've scored more. Fulham sat deep most of the game. We won the game after a difficult CL game. Shaq came in and did well. Klopp will be delighted that Shaq has come in and is doing really well early on in his career at Anfield. Might've thought shaq would come in for the cup games etc but now he is a genuine contender for a more offensive midfield. I said 6 weeks ago Shaq could be the catalyst for a fresh attacking spree. Many said the same.

Robinho as well, bedding in. Getting the pace and mentality of the Prem. Plenty of positives, most of the complaints - irrelevant.

Hey if you are happy being 13 goals behind Citeh and 1 behind Chavs then good for you, but personally I'm not. This is the game we should have gone for the jugular but again we huffed and puffed a bit, although we were a lot better than in recent games but that was largely down to playing an AM.

I actually think Bobby was an unsung hero in that game. It showed what we missed against Red Star. His movement is superb and he creates so much space for other players by drawing defenders to him.

You’re reading too much into it Ribs.

He was being magnanimous after caning the officials for Bobby’s goal last week.

We won so he could afford to play nice.

That’s all, nowt more to see.

Bobby's touch was absolutely awful it came of his knees of his thighs it was just bouncing off him he is out of sorts all this moving around making space nonsense he is there to make goals and score goals and he isn't at the moment.
I was wondering was this his first World Cup because he had an incredibly long and hard season maybe he just needs a bit of a break.

I know he said it but it's not that important. Newspapers...hogwash. I see enough wrong with this side to know when criticism is justified. Yeah we didn't put them to the sword second half but the attack has lost it's way a bit so a solid win is acceptable.

Could argue that we are in a false position re our current form, but grinding out wins in the past hasn't always been our strong point. City are the dominant force in the Prem and if we can stay in touching distance not playing that well then I'll hold my fire and put any negativity to one side.

Your lucky...in the 80's...if we got a free kick it was a pound to a penny they would screw it up. We would batter teams but set pieces...always seemed to go tits up.

people were trying to change what Klopp said is my problem. Klopps a good manager but he's not perfect and people need to understand that behind the friendly smiley face is a human but a superhero.
