Since last Wednesday we lost, I will not do the Live thread for the Derby. I will pass on this against my natural instinct. Hope that whoever will do it will have the same passion.

I think that we need to play for our lifes. We need this win more than ever. We can do it but it would not be an easy game.

I don't think it will be as easy as everyone thinks. The bitters now have a better team, better manager and are actually playing well. On the other hand, Bobby is struggling, midfield with be Gini, Milner and a another & our front three are not quite 100% yet.

I hope we win because a draw is unthinkable with City winning yesterday.

Need to be at our best today, or Everton could give us a nasty shock, which is unthinkable. Originally thought 2  0 to the Reds, but now thinking maybe 3  1.

Every single piece on the Derby keeps on about the last time Everton won and our title challenge bla bla they are desperate to see us lose and they want to have a pop at Jürgen (bit like some on here) but I am sure the result will see a happy hugging Jürgen at the end of the game

      Would go:

                 Alisson
      TAA Gomez VVD Robbo
        Hendo Keita Milner
          Shaq Mo Mane

But think Jürgen will start Bob.
Not sure he will start Keita.
And its a toss up between Hendo and Gini.

Really looking forward to it, always a massive game :)

      Think the team will be

      Alisson

      AA
      Gomez
      VVD
      Robbo

      Fabinho
      Gini
      Keita

      Shaqiri
      Salah
      Mane

Nothing wrong with this although I would teak it slightly drop Gini and move Shaqiri to midfield (free role) just behind our normal front three...
Just believe we need to keep the front three playing together

I don't think Klopp will start both, Keita and Fabinho tbh. It will most likely be Milner, Wijnaldum and Keita/Fabinho, or Wijnaldum , Fabinho/Keita and Shaqiri.
yeah... think your right about that

I'm thinking Keita has the mentality to perform in a derby, and a better option to anything else we've got creatively wise, or with the desire to drive forward from the centre of the park, causing a bit of havoc. As for the rest, we've just gotta be on fire from the first minute, as i'm sure they will, and we don't wanna get caught cold.
I'm feeling this is gonna be close, although i think we've got too much for them, we aren't firing in all cylinders at the mo. I also think, if we don't win it, the gap that opens up a bit to City, might just be a bit too much to claw back.

                 SHAQ                KEITA

        MO               BOB              SADIO.

That'll do it for me, a close fought 3 - 1 to the red men !

Just reflecting on all the moaning in the world at the moment. Sitting here having my first beer for a couple of months watching the footie looking forward to seeing the Redmen destroy the blueshite how good is that. Derby Day is always a reflective day my earliest memory is my Aunties birthday Card to me and she wrote "Roses are Red Violets are Blue Liverpool 5 Everton 2". Seeing Emlyn Hughes score at Goodison it doesn't much better than that.

A Derby may be just what we need. Spark it up a bit, little bit of urgency. We have been playing like a damp squib a few times this season. Nothing like a good Derby scrap to liven it up. Bounce back after the PSG cheats.

Although down the years I've seen a few Derbies fizzle out in 0-0 draws. To much tension. But hardly a scouser to be seen in both sides. TAA is about the only one I can think of off hand, so the emotions might not come into it the way they did in years gone by.

True about TAA, but you'd think Milner would get a bit sparked up, and maybe Gomez.
Robertson doesn't need sparking up, that lad's always up for it

Think its time to change things in our middle,  we have the defence that will take care of most sides attack and obviously we have a front 3/4 that can be a nightmare to handle for any defence,

I think we can all agree that this season for whatever reason we haven't been at our best, whether you feel some of our players are slightly jaded or that some opposition's have sussed us out, whatever it is there is definitely something missing,
For me and I'm no rocket scientist its our lack of creactivity,  we've been striving apparently according to the media to replace Coutinho of which we are still waiting for, but we fans know better than that, and i remember us actually being better in the months after wee Phil fu**ed off to Barca,
And if we are all honest the football we played in that period up until the CL final was phenomenal and the best since Jürgen sat his arse in the gaffer's chair,

We need to get back to playing like that starting from today, so id go with thus....

                                 Alisson
              Trent  Gomez Virgil Robertson
                                 Fabinho
                        Shaqiri       Keita
              Salah         Firmino       Mane

We have the attack, so lets supply them with the ammo, it is a gamble,  but so is life, Toffes are decent but with us being more creative, quicker, better quality we should get the better of them,  yes its a derby and anything can happen and invariably it does,

I want to see us tearing them to f***in shreds, but we won't do it playing like we have been and lacking that creactivity that seen us faltering in Europe.
