give them the respect and get 3 points

Absolutely, go there thinking we'll stroll, would be bad.
Wouldn't go with too many changes, just a few obvious ones, but not wholesale - get ahead - then bring guys off.

Moreno as the back up left back will get the nod.

He's the weakness in this squad.
      he's not second choice.

This lot seem mentally and physically jaded. Started playing uefa qualifying games before they had a proper pre season build up. Then get battered most games, their confidence has been shot to pieces.
Same players they had last season though, and they can perform ok when they get it right. No doubt they’ll park the bus and try catch us on the counter, so we could do without Moreno standing 10 yds off the marauding winger, with his hands behind his back 😳
If he has to play, put him left mid with Millie behind him, otherwise leave him on the bench to cover for emergencies only. Toooooo big a risk to put our season into jeopardy !
As Billy said, they will break their duck at some point, as poor as they currently are. Let’s just make sure it’s not against us !
Strongest side, get the points in the bag, then rest three.
Will this be the game it Dell clicks for us ? Not where bobs playing. He needs to be up top in the centre, bringing mo and Sadio in with his hold up play.
Let’s get back to how it was, the back 4 are solid, the front 3 in the right formation are bang on, and the midfield is improved from last season. Think we’ve just tried to change too much.
Still going for a win, but have to be clinical when we get the opportunities.
The Derby result will have the players thinking ‘we will score sooner or later’ just hope that doesn’t mean they take their foot off the gas, and run out of time !
0:2 with us firing on 3 cylinders !

Just to reiterate, my reason for wanting to see heavy rotation isn't that I underestimate Burnley, but that it's the best opportunity to give our typical starting XI a break as we move into high gear with the fixtures. There's still a mindset in England that professional football players should be able to answer the bell every time, bar none. But getting a night off in the midst of this stretch can make a big difference over the long haul.

I would add that subbing a player off at 75 minutes or so is not giving him a rest in the middle of three matches in seven days.

Here's to the squad players making a major contribution to a Premier League title run during this match.

Rather we went Milly at LB and given we have Gini, Hendo, Keita, Fab and Shaq all competing for a place in the midfield, I think we have more than enough depth there to go Milly at LB.
      Or put Gomez there.
Or Fab at RB and Trent on the left.

Basically anyone but Moreno, don’t care who, just not that useless clown.

But in all seriousness......that’s not gonna happen.

Genuinely think (alongside Allison) that’s the area that most needs covering in squad.

Agree completely. We need to find a deputy to Andy Robertson but until then I don't trust Moreno one little bit. Perhaps, bring someone in from the Academy.

Adam Lewis, think that’s his name. Meant to be progressing well and showing good signs.

      If Mane out

                Alisson

      Trent Joe VvD Robbo

       Milner Fab Keita

      Shaq   Sturridge Salah

I think that would also be my side but I’m expecting more changes. Moreno seems likely to come in for Robbo. Hopefully VVD isn’t rested, we may even see Clyne and Origi from the start.

I hope we don't take Burnley lightly after the euphoria of the weekend. Thinking this is stroll in the park. In that case we might end up with a draw.

      No Mane or Robertson then?

I'd be tempted to go something like this:

      Allison

      Trent    Lovren    Van Dijk    Moreno

      Fabinho

      Henderson    Keita

      Shaqiri

      Sturridge    Salah

Shaqiri licence to go wide when needed.

I hear ya 7kk7, and i think i speak for most and agree, but i doubt Jürgen will, slotting Bertie on the left would be taking a slot away from Mane, Keita or even Shaqiri,  and in all probability imbalance the side,
Its likely he'll play LB we just hope & pray he don't F**k things up majorly,  against Burnley its less of a risk than would be against someone in better form.

Burnley are obviously struggling, they also need a win. Although the Reds will prove too strong, will go for a 2  0 win, for us at Turf Moor.

If Moreno does play, stick him on the left wing, give Mane a rest and have Milner in LB, lad could do damage at the right end of the pitch if you take away any defending off him.

I had Clyne in my all change team as well, but it turns out he is injured and unavailable.

He does make your teeth itch every time he gets to defend anywhere near our penalty area. I like him as he seems really part of the squad and always celebrates our wins as if he was on the pitch himself. Sadly I think Jürgen has improved him as much as he can.
Watch him play tonight now and be MOTM

Don't care who plays, just go get a win. I believe if we win this will be our best points haul to start a season in history. Let that sink in.

I hope we smash them...but I’ll also take a one nil win off the cross bar header by Origi type too 😁

I see us rotate at least half the squad. Looking at Burnleys upcoming games I can see them rotate some key players against us and Arsenal in December just to keep fresh legs for the games where they have a better chance to collect three points such as Brighton, Everton & West Ham.

      <<posting after ages>>

Reckon we'll line up in a 4-4-2 as well, albeit more fluid! Think we'll go with Trent to give us width and maintain the Gomez-Virgil axis.

      Alisson
      Trent-Gomez-Virgil-Moreno
      Shaqiri-Milner-Fabinho-Keita
      Salah-Sturridge

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Clyne, Hendo, Lallana, Origi, Firmino

Rest for Gini, Mane and Robbo

If there’s any game we can rest players this must be it.

How any team can let Palace have 29 shots must be proper sh*te.

Just need to take our chances.
