Burnley 1-3 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion
      Dec 05, 2018 06:45:46 pm

      Turf Moor afraid of us

Starting XI: Alisson, Gomez, Van Dijk, Matip, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Keita, Shaqiri, Sturridge, Origi.

Subs: Mignolet, Fabinho, Firmino, Salah, Lallana, Camacho, Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool make seven changes for the Premier League clash with Burnley this evening.

Alisson Becker, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Xherdan Shaqiri are the four players who retain their place from the Merseyside derby.

Jordan Henderson returns to the starting XI and captains the side at Turf Moor.

Dejan Lovren misses out - the defender is suffering the effects of a clash of heads in training.

      Lot of changes there.

Not expecting a fluent performance but hopefully enough to get the win.

      Thanks.

The fringe players need to play for their place in the team. Origi show us again what we were missing.

Well that starting line up is good enough to get the three points - up to them to go ahead and get them

Seven changes, but it's hardly like it's the kids being sent in.  All more than experienced enough Premier League players and seeing as they're all on tens of thousands a week - may as well do some Christmas overtime.

Worth giving them all a bash IMO.  Come on Keita lad - give us a performance!

Thought that it would have been, a slightly stronger side. Although a good looking bench.

Could have said the same for our 'first XI' since October! ;)

A rotated line up because we are hitting a bery busy period - it was always going to happen and the players going into the team are all experienced international players

That front 3 should be hyped up about starting, particularly Origi who should be on a high after Sunday.

Let’s not forget that this team still has a lot of experience and should comfortably get the job done.

To be honest, I prefer a fresh hungry player than a tired player like Firmino played last Sunday.

Burnley have made five changes as well.  Sam Vokes on the bench!

This kind of thing makes me wonder if both managers have had a 'pre match chat'...

I think we have enough to win, but this is not our strongest line up.
Fabinho can play LB for Brazil but here we are rolling with Moreno at LB again?  ???
Those people who quoted Klopp saying Fab can be DM, CM and FB can see this as clear evidence he is here to be DM or he'd be starting not Moreno.
Cardboard cutout would do more at FB.

Jesus Christ, well this could either be a master stroke going into the festive period or we are going to see it go horribly wrong and City be in a comfortable position.

Moreno is the back up left back - Robbo is out injured so the back up comes in - it’s no more complicated than that.

Guess Klopp cares more about Saturday & Napoli next week than today.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's a 1-0 or 0-0 finish in our favor.
