AFC Bournemouth 0-4 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion

Liverpool make five changes for this afternoon’s Premier League encounter with AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Andy Robertson returns in defence after a knock, while there are also recalls for Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Liverpool: Alisson, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita, Shaqiri, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Mignolet, Mane, Henderson, Sturridge, Lallana, Origi, Alexander-Arnold.

I'll take a terrible performance and a 0-1 win right now

With City possibly dropping points to Chelsea it's all about the 3 points today

(I'd rather Milly than Fabino at RB)

Keita playing around that front three excites me. Hopefully means Bobby does less dropping back and can focus on linking things together in the final third.

Haven't seen how well Fabinho plays at right back but maybe his lack of playing time would hinder him with regards to getting up and down the pitch.

With Milner you could probably put three pitches in a row and he would still get up and down without breaking a sweat haha

Edit: Yeah I'm excited to see Keita again, that Burnley match will have done him a world of good confidence wise.

Hope he takes it up another notch today.

For some reason I presumed we were at home. This is a tricky away tie but one which we need to win.

Glad Wilson is out but Josh King is a talent. Also interested to see how David Brooks goes. From what I've seen he's a star of the future beyond Bournemouth. Very classy looking player on the ball and the type of midfielder who could blossom into what we're looking for.

As for us we need to do our jobs and put the pressure on City against Chelsea. Certainly not expecting a clean sheet here (we rarely do when Matip plays) sp we'll need a few goals to win this.

Surely Milner will be the RB?

Happy with the team. Exactly what a world class football brain would’ve called ;)

Seriously though - good team,  incorporates Fab into the defensive line which could be crucial with Joe out till Feb.

Probably need Milners experience at RB today. They like to attack down the flanks with a bit of pace. We will need to be on our toes for a lively encounter.

      nuther 1-3.

I'll be honest, I'm worried about Matip as CB, but other than that it's a strong line up. Tough game ahead, I'd take a scrapped 1-0 win.

Educated guess mate. I listened to the gaffer - he was clear TAA needs rests regularly to develop.

With Sadio injured it was down to Hendo or Jimmy and I thought a) Hendo still coming back and b) I fancy he’ll start vs Napoli.

It’s a good team and should be plenty.

I (against my better judgement- but with 2 teenage lads) pay for the full fitba package so I’m on TV BUT I was well impressed by the reddit soccer streams on Wed.

Just need to watch the usual sh*te trying scam you into clicking to sort a “major security issue” 🤣

Milner 100% right back apparently. What a great utility man to have.

Very strong line up - Shaqiri must be loving all this playing time and it’s well deserved

Eddie how would think he had died and gone to heaven if he had just picked this team. Attitude is going to be so important and 5 changes means fresh bodies and fresh minds JĂźrgen is handling this busy period perfectly.Cant see anything but a good win but if we concede a goal it will not be the  end of the world
