It’s not just about Hendo being good enough or not, it’s about what sort of job he can or can’t do, what sort of impact he can have in s game, and that all comes down to who he plays with.
Gini Fab and Keita for me.
Perhaps hendo on later if we are ahead and need more energy on the field to close them down. But starting, not for me, too negative in a game we need a result !

I'd be very, very surprised if Henderson doesn't start.

For some reason I'm not confident. Can't put my finger on why. I'm usually wrong, though.

Napoli are used to big hostile atmospheres so I don't think they'll be too phased by that.

Would be a good night to dust off the all out, heavy metal Geggen.

I hope the boys treat this as the CL Final because at this point...it basically is for us.

Liverpool fans get stick for being over confident. I have never met a fan yet that doesn't get terribly nervous before a big game like this and certainly they don't spout off about how they are going win by any margin.
This is going to be a great game if we are at it we can really do something special but these teams don't come here to lie down and they need a result to get through and Ancelloti is no mug

      Corrected the sloppy mistake. :)

I don't care much about the line-up as long as Keita is in it. Klopp needs to have a stable midfield, so no Shaq this time, rather Gini and either Hendo or Fab alongside Keita. And tonight I wanna see our old pitbull pressing that we haven't seen most of the season. This game is more important than ManU on Sunday.

I have the hunch that as long as the match stays at 0-0, they will slow the game down as much as possible and rolling all over the pitch that will make neymar looks like a novice. If we score an early goal, they will still slow the game down but with a little more urgency and and can;t decide whether to defend or attack. if we score the second goal it will surely draw them out of their shell and we go for the kill. No need to give them too much respect, we must bully them with the the crowd behind us. Put in those hard but fair tackles to show them what it is like to play at Anfield.

Salah and Mane will destroy them.

What happens if we win (not by 2 clear goals) and PSG draw against Red Star? Head to head would be irrelevant I assume then it goes to goal difference, is that right?

Obviously we are going to win 3-0 and this is all hypothetical.

I think, if we win by 1-0, then we're through and Napoli out, because we scored more goals (for), PSG win the group.
If it's 2-1 for us, then Napoli through and we're out because of away goal rule. So, we do need to win either 1-0 or 3-1 (at least by 2 clear goals).

I think that’s only if PSG lose. I actually just found an article that explains it. Apparently if we win (by any margin) and PSG draw, we finish top of the group on head to head.

”Liverpool's situation is slightly more complex.

They play at home to Napoli in their final group game on Wednesday, 12 December.

They have to win that match to have any hope of progress.

If they win and PSG are beaten at Red Star Belgrade, both Liverpool and Napoli will go through. Both teams will have nine points to PSG's eight, and who finishes top will depend on the result at Anfield.

There are two ways Liverpool can finish above Napoli - with a 1-0 win or with a victory by two goals or more.

A 1-0 win would edge them through on goals scored. That's the simple scenario. This next one is a little more complicated still.

If PSG draw at Red Star and Liverpool win, the Reds, PSG and Napoli will be level on nine points.

They would be separated by their record in matches against each other - essentially a mini three-team group, discounting results against Red Star.

A Liverpool victory on 11 December would see them top that on six points, with PSG and Napoli level on five points.

Who progresses out of those two  depend on Napoli's result at Anfield.

So the simple answer is just F***ing win. If Napoli score then win by two clear goals

It's simples mate. If we win 1-0 or by 2 clear it doesn't matter what else happens, we are through.

I think its going to be a very tough match, but I believe that we can get a 2-0 win, as our attacking trio will do the trick.

The heat is on. Love these games, big players step up. Mane will want be the main man and he could well benefit if Carlo targets Salah. Big game for Alisson as well. Done very well so far, think he is a confident bloke generally and I think that helps being a keeper. Nervy types in goal are not really what we want.

Lot of stuff around Hendo as per. Think he'll get the nod and his performance win or lose will be dissected. Think he knows he's not everybody's pick but still gets a start from Klopp in the big games.

      Night of high drama.Can't wait.
