Make no mistake, that was one of our finest performances this season. The ability to continue creating chances against such strong opposition during the whole duration of the match was just incredible. Yeah, the finishing was a bit off today, but that happens; small margins and all that. Much more important is that your team is creating and dominating. We did both and fully deserve to go through.
I'm voting VDV for MOTM just because I'm in awe of him and, prone to exaggerations as we might be as passionate fans, I genuinely can't think of a better central defender in the world. He's just that good.
Also loved watching Gini on the ball tonight. When he's on it, having to instinctively shield it from opponents, it's nearly impossible to get it off his feet.
In high-paced, end-to-end games, Wijnaldum is probably one of the best midfielders around. Absolutely bossed it tonight in my opinion. A few bad passes, but overall he was brilliant.
What a game. Could've easily been 5-0, so many wasted opportunities.

Robertson and Trent endlessly running up and down the pitch.
Henderson, Wijnaldum, and Milner running their socks off and all of them had good games.
Front three all had a decent game and a goal by our Egyptian King.
