They’ll park the bus so we need a player to run at them from midfield, so for me Keita or Shaq MUST start in a attacking midfield role....

                    Alisson
      Milner Lovren Dijk Robbo
                 Gini  Hendo
                     Keita
          Salah  Bobby  Mane

Shaq to come on at 2-1 and kill their hopes to make 3-1...

They will probably take the ball far away from their defence and starts playing pin ball. They will also probably line 5 across midfield to protect their defence and prevent us breaking their line. We will grow frustrated and they will look for opening for a quick burst.

For a change, we may need to lump the ball over their midfield and to the path of mo and mane, their defence will struggle.

We will probably need to play a patient game. The goal scoring chances will surely be there and we need to make the best use of it. Any score will do for me as long as we collect the 3 points.

Does everyone realise the last time we won against them in the league was the x3 Gerrard penalties game in 2014!! We’ve been awful against them since so definitely not counting my chickens. Will gladly take an ugly 1-0

It's horses for course... Just feel that Henderson and Milner are more suited to Derby's and games against Utd

If JoMo pitches up in a great big 1960's corpy bus and parks it he will get a load of stick from his own fans and plenty from the pundits.

As Snivel pointed out JoMo last two visits here have mustered 2 shots in 180 minutes. We are already 16 point clear of Mancheater, that's serious daylight considering we are not even  half way through the season. So will he have the confidence to come to Anfield and play a fair game of football.

Problem is enticing them up high enough for the ball over the top for Mo to run on to the way he did for his hat trick V B'mouth. Only a tactic that works when the opposition is chasing the game.

They will have two banks of 5 & 4. We will face that, if it's 0-0 or if they snatch a goal.We will need Mo to mix it up, Shaq if he plays ( pity the Ox is injured) go at them with Mo peeling off for Shaq to slip in the little grubber thru ball.

The United lock won't be easy to pick. The chances when they come will have to be taken, we don't want a tale of missed chances.

Agreed. That's what maureen will do. We need to lump it pass their front 5 and if we can get the ball behind their back 4, they'll be all over the place. If we play it too heat and tidy, it suits the well, they will just sit back and wait for the right moment to pounce. Get an early goal will be draw them out of the half. We need the 12th man on duty.

I will not do the Live thread because I won't be home and do not have a good record against them too.

We need to win this to be top again not to have an upper hand on Manure (it will be sweeter nonetheless), our only target should be the top of the league.

This pisses me off. They play us and give everything..they go away to City and are pathetic..and other teams do the same..City need to be challenged by all teams, given a easy ride by to many..

Annoying thing is even Everton defence telephoning in, their attack have created chances. The City defence is not as strong as it's made out to be. I've seen a few teams carve them open. Problem is teams are going in against them with defeatist mentality.

If they kick and fight against City they way they do against us City if they win it will have deserved it. But teams target easier games to put the effort in.

City is not invincible. Their defence is highly suspect but teams just gave them too much respect. That's the problem.

      Spot on.

I actually think that other mob might’ve got something today if they’d had a bit more ambition in the middle.

Citeh will give a lot of teams a doing - other teams need to make them cautious

We have to wait and see if MCity stumbles somehow, if not then they will win the PL. They are too good. They usually score at least 2 goals while having chances for more than 3 and therefore they are relatively independant from bad luck or one lucky goal by the opponent. We don't have this luxury and at one point it will catch up. But what can we do? We need to play our best and hope, there's no alternative and we are chased by Spurs, Chealsea and Arsenal...one bad stretch and we could be in trouble, so let's sink ManU and take one game at a time.
