Apparently Paul Ince has said they should look at Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes.

What planet is he on? ;D

maybe he is more of a Red than we thought we should get behind all of these suggestions but for me Ole Gunner is a perfect fit just look wat he did with another mid table team

      He must have been joking.

      Surely?

Anyhow - Ole Gunner Solskjaer looks like the early front runner for the interim job. Man Utd doing their own Tim Sherwood stunt I see. In all seriousness, it could prove to be a very wise move...to the relegation zone.

Whoever it is will just be a placeholder until they get who they really want, probably someone who does well this season at a smaller club, somewhere. The Dortmund manager I can see them pursuing.

Did it all collapse when Rui Faria left him after 17 years working together?

it went wrong when he tried to play football in 2018 with 2005 tactics he had modelled his team on Chelsea 2005 . I am sure the £24 mil will ease the pain

In fact, I feared more that MU would retain him. Yes, he has a big big attitude problem with his inflated ego. But if comes end of the season, he is able to make peace with the players, get in a few reinforcements and tweak his tactics, he may changed things 360 degree and becomes SAR Mark II. Of course this is based on assumption, nothing more so no need to torch me. But, glad that he is gone, always ruffling up the feathers of other managers.for nothing. he may grow to regret to labeled himself the "special one'. Karma is not a bi*ch, karma is a judge. Hohoho.

Is this the end of the journey for maureen in the EPL? Everytime he made a comeback, he fared worse than the previous time. I'm afraid it's the end of the road for him in the EPL.  Goodbye maureen and good riddance

I think he’ll end up in the international realm.

He’s shown he can’t hold on at club level.

Out of curiosity, this is his 4th sacking now, that is surely up there with the likes of Mark Hughes? Trying to think of a manager that’s been sacked more times than him and I’m struggling without having to look. I’d imagine the likes of Woy and fat Sam are around the same number as him, but if there’s anyone on more then it can’t be many more times.

      Clarification.

Mourinho was on £18 million a year and a severance deal of a years salary worth that -  £18 million.

He was also on a £6 million bonus in respect of Champions League qualification.
At the time he was sacked by Utd those things were still possible for next season and he was still in next year's knockout stage.
He would not get it if he did not finish 4th.

So the accounting was that he was still entitled to it. Not that he wasn't.

The Lowry Hotel bill was £500,000 for his suite over the period.

isn't the fact he lived in a Hotel a sign he never really settled at the club and also paying £500k in Hotels bills proves Football has no respect for money.
I hope Spurs kick off at the likes of Neville handing the job to their manager but hopefully it will unsettle Poch and Spurs drop down the league its all good news these days

Cardiff can be no marker as an indication of Solskjaer's talent say the Mancs. But there's no doubting that he mucked up a solid foundation left by Malky Mackay. Yes that's right - Malky Mackay is a better manager than Solskjaer.

£24m for getting sacked? Outrageous! People would take a dump on their desk to get the sack for that amount.

Sacking him has proved very profitable as the stock market has put another £170 million on United's valuation. £24 million looks cheap now.  ;D

      £24 million.
He told the Italian press last month it would cost too much to sack him.

Seen the photo of him arriving this morning ?  ...had a grin all over his face in the back of the car.

He has to be applauded for conning Utd.
Surely after living at The Lowry Hotel for two years and a half years that was saying something.

The style of football United have been playing, it would have been more befitting to put him up in a Travel Lodge.
