      This!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Salah benched in preparation for the Arsenal and City games.

Can’t see there being too much rotation but I wouldn’t be shocked to see Moreno, Shaqiri, Sturridge/Orgi all come into the side. With Robbo, Milly, Salah and maybe Mane dropping out.

Fabinho played very little for the first few months of the season so I can’t see him being in too much need for a rest. One of the perks we had with Robbo last season.

Alisson; Clyne, Lovren, VVD, Moreno; Hendo, Gini; Shaqiri, Lallana, Mane; Sturridge.

Risky of course when you look at what happened to City yesterday but I don't think we really have much of a choice with two intense games coming up.

Can’t be arsed who plays. We’re unbeaten whoever we’ve thrown out on the pitch.

Just come with the right attitude for 90 minutes and we’ll be fine.

Rafa will put up a team ready to stifle us but as we have found so many times now when you have 11 players who are man for man so much better than the opposition you just have to trust them  to find a way . As much as we can applaud or discuss tactics what we are seeing is players being brave and relying on their abilities and trusting in each other. No wonder Jürgen looks like Christmas started back in August

Newcastle will park it big-time so need creative players and people alive in the box as they will be that deep. Would play Clyne, Sturridge  and Shaqiri possibly Lallana  and have bench ready if required

I do think Shaqiri and Sturridge should start this one - Sturridge can do some damage at the edge of the box.

Robertson needs a rest and if we can't trust Moreno at home to Newcastle, then we can never trust him.

I expect this to be hard fought and not straight forward. Just get the job done. 2-0 Reds!!

I believe that this is the right starting 11 vs. Newcastle...

Bobby Looked as if he was suffering form flu vs. Wolves and has looked jaded prior to that, and Robbo did look in need of a rest vs. Wolves.

Last night result of Mancity and Chelsea made me think bit different. I thought this maybe the greatest chance for us in two decades to win the Premier League title.  If it's me I will never take any unnecessary risk so we should only put in the strongest team in every game thinking it's most important game of the season. Throw away the players resting as only a week and 2 more games before the transfer window open.  We never know whether Mancity drop points again or not but now we have a clear four points lead so we should not take any risk.

Strongest team and win every f**king games from now and lift the trophy in May!  COYMightyREDS :scarf:

                               Alisson
           Clyney  Lovren Virgil Robertson
               Hendo  Fabinho  Wijnaldom
                  Shaqiri  Sturridge Lallana

Subs; Migs, Trent, Milner,  Mane, Firmino, Salah, Origi

Rafa will have them well organised and try and stifle,
Pace is key here and a high press, if its slow and low we can be got at, dragged down to their level,

Shouldn't have too many problems if I'm honest with our back 5 coping with relative ease, rested Mo, Bobby & Sadio for obvious reasons, and should only be used for a run out,

Can't use Bertie,  not going to risk playing liability players,  might see Trent last 20 in preparation for Arse & Shitty,

Nothing but another 3pts and a another step towards the title.

      3-0 Champions Elect!!

                 Alisson
          TAA Lovren VVD Clyne
             Gini  Fab  Lallana
         Shaqiri Mo Bob

Mane has been a bit ropey recently, maybe rest might do him good.
Gini to come back in, Lallana possibly has done enough to get a place, Shaq too.
Bob was subbed off vs Wolves, so might see him, and Mo is playing so well would start him and then get him off once ahead.
No rest for the CBs until Matip/Gomez available again I guess, but probably should try rest Robbo, though Moreno gives me the heebee-jeebees.

Be nice to see Rafa back on the old sod.
4 points clear at the top - but am sure the lads won't be taking the foot of the gas, or looking ahead to Arsenal - need the 3 points here.

      Happy Christmas Jürgen!

You just can’t rest Salah - it’s almost a guarantee that he scores at home in these games.

Let him get a couple and take him off.

For me Salah starts every game. The opposition seeing the Team sheet will automatically go into panic mode when they see his name. Get it won early, then take him off for a rest.

Don’t agree with the idea of Lallana in the team for this, everytime he’s played he’s been a disappointment this season IMO, hasn’t shown anything to warrant a start when there’s players in his position who have played a lot better than him. I think it will be along the lines of the line up vs Burnley, then bring on the likes of Salah for the last 20 if needed.
Think Sturridge, Origi and Shaq have all shown good enough signs this season...well Shaq goes without saying actually, that they are capable of getting the job done enough for the 3 points.

Trent is back in training now, don’t think Klopp will want to go into the games vs Arsenal and City without him having gotten some minutes under his belt.

Yeah not sure about him starting either. Think we can stick to a solid midfield with the regulars even during the festive period.

I'm sure he will get some minutes but later on in the game when hopefully the match is in the bag.

The first goal will be everything for this one. Get it early and we make life easier for ourselves.

I do have confidence in this team more than any other though that we don't have to blow them away early doors. Even late on we have found ways to gain points.

Respect your opinion mate in regards to Lallana, but it wasn't too long ago he was one of Jürgen's favourite's, he's had a bit of a hard time with injuries so getting back into the fold was always gonna be tough,
I wouldn't be too hasty in writing him off just yet, he needs game time to get him up to speed so games V Newcastle are ideal, I think we agree he won't be a starter every week but he's still a good asset off the bench, he knows how to  play in a Klopp system, uses the space well, has pace and can score to, if we can get a good hour from him then replace with Mane, we could reap the rewards from tired Newcastle legs, throw on Bobby & Mo for the last 20mins, that GD will shrink for sure,

But plz no Moreno, I'd rather we put Jimmy there if Robbo's rested.

We need creativity in the middle but I think we can probably rotate the forwards a bit for this game and give them a rest. Newcastle are a very poor side so if we can get a nice early goal then I think we will romp to victory so Heavy metal from the first minute please then we can dial it back a bit and look to hit them on the counter.

I just feel that the team has moved on from Lallana, unfortunately the injuries he’s had has essentially left him 2 years behind where the rest of the team is now IMO. He was one of the stand out players when Klopp took over but other than that, he hasn’t really shown anything. He’s never been a rapid player but the pace and composure he did have has gone as well, can’t remember what game it was this season but he was played clean through 1v1 and he looked so sluggish, like he was pulling a weight behind him.
He’s an intelligent player but just IMO, as a team we’ve moved on from him now.
Don’t get me wrong, if he plays then he has my backing 100% and Klopp knows a lot more about him than me, it’s just my take on it. I see him more now as a player to come on as the game is getting into the last 20, give the key players a rest if we’ve got the win all but confirmed.

It’s going to be an interesting game though, I think this game could be harder than the Arsenal game because of how much they are going to sit back and look to counter so we need to make sure that whoever plays, finds that creative edge.

Fairy muff mate, good analysis and one i didn't consider, his 'sluggishness' could be down to lack of game time but we cannot rule out age and maybe losing a yard or two, those injuries would definitely had a negative affect, i guess tho like you say Jürgen knows best and will use him as he sees fit.

      Have a Great Xmas .

No disrespect to Newcastle, they will do everything to get a point. Only we ourselves can turn this into a hard game by underestimating them and resting too many players. I would say race to a 3 goal lead then only rest some players, not before then. City and chelsea have stumbled, we make sure we don't.
