January has been a bit of a b***ard in the last few years, but it looks like we're managing energy much better this season and starting to come into form at the right time!

We kept the pressure up on City and they have for now cracked and Spurs will think they can do the same for us so just lets get to the Arsenal game and see where we are after that.
The last few games have show the maturity of this fairly new side they find a way and we have many different of playing now but the manic days have gone and today we hardly broke sweat.

That was a fantastic win and we played some really fantastic football in the first half that just lacked that final touch. Really ugly from Salah to dive like he's Neymar but i get it, it's happened against us so many times that we need to do it too, just that the optics are bad when you're barely touched and go down like you're being strangled from behind.

A great win and Lovren with a fantastic performance and my MOTM. Defended superbly, scored on a quality half-volley and even had a peach of a pass to Mane late in the game. No one had a poor game but thought Henderson also stood out with a very strong performance.

City is in meltdown mode and now have a chance to really bury them in just a week's time. We'll be ready. To be 6 points clear is an amazing way to be right after Christmas but with Spurs being 2nd and us having a +12GD on them, it really is like a 7pt lead.

If we can just get a result against Arsenal.   City will really be under pressure in their game.  Knowing a defeat can really leave them a mountain to climb. 1 game at a time.

I've just got this sneaking suspicion that by 5 o'clock tonight we are going to be 6 points clear.

Of course if I'd put any money on it would have gone pear shaped!!

This feels different to any of our close ones in recent years.

It just seems we are going to quietly win the league.

The big tests are now the new two.

If we win them both, I think we have done it.

This is why people laugh at us ffs. Winning the league on January 3rd

F**k sake people like you are the reason Liverpool supporters get the piss taken out of them every season.

Give your head a wobble we have half a season of highly competitive football to go let's take it a game at a time ok.

Walk in in the park that game. Very good performance against a poor Newcastle side and could have had more goals.

Went for Robbo for MOTM, but everybody played well. It'd be great if we went into the City game still 7 points ahead - the pressure would really be on them, and they are not coping too well with pressure so far.

Bit surprised we didn't rest a couple of our front 3 - only 2 days rest before the Arsenal game, and I suspect the first choice 3 will play in that. Thought we could have started Studge and Origi today, but Jürgen knows the players better me, and he's not exactly got a lot wrong this season.

In a great position now, but too early to get carried away. Tough next 2 games. Win them both and we are in great shape (although Spurs are still likely to be close). The media will be annointing us champs now, and then adding "it's theirs to throw away". F**k that - it's still only half way, and we should be prepared for more twists and turns.

Got a real good chance though now.

It's 6 mate, Spurs now 2nd with 45 points.  But we are really at top form now.  COYR :scarf:
See...I'm not sure we have reached that top form yet. We've played well, and no complaints on the results at all, but I'm not sure we have really fired on all cylinders yet. I could be wrong of course, but if I'm right...just imagine!

Splitting hairs a bit, but his service in the first half wasn't so good. He did his part, but not MOTM for me.
Very good to have him back in the lineup for these next two matches.
