Liverpool 4-0 Newcastle United: In game and Post Match discussion

Need to raise our game a bit in the second half and we'll be fine.

Need to ramp it up a gear in the second. Salah hardly touched it, Shaq was a bit too quiet and Gini has struggled.

A little pedestrian so far. Front 3 very quiet and the ball going out to the full backs very early in our build up play.

Last 20 Newcastle will have a pop at us. If we can take a chance before then we will save ourselves a lot of stress.

I know Mo is the central front man these days but it would be nice to see him drop a little deeper every now and again to look for work. He's our best dribbles and can take deep defenders out of the game.

His goal in the week started with him playing it from deep and arriving in the box.

Hope we make the 2-0 soon, 1-0 calls for a lucky shot. Overall pretty decent, had our chances, no reason to blame anything.

Are Newcastle parking the bus? I don't think they are? I think we can improve more in our possession play, but other than that, it's been an okay performance. Firmino probably our best player.

I don't know, they have been defensive, but I am not sure if it's Mourinho bus parking or your typical Benitez bus parking vs big clubs. I guess that's probably down to us scoring early, but regardless, I think we can improve a lot more, but do we need to?

We gave newcastle's defence too much respect. Need to move the ball into their box much faster.

No disrespect to Rafa, but parking the bus is a sh*t way to manage a team. Evidence shows it doesn't lead to any more points.

We need to score another one to not cause stress.

We need to move the ball a bit quicker in the final third with a bit more movement off the ball to open up some space.
