Liverpool 4-0 Newcastle United: In game and Post Match discussion
      Dec 26, 2018 02:00:11 pm

      It’s good to be home.

      https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1077926143741833221

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Shaqiri, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Mignolet, Clyne, Fabinho, Keita, Sturridge, Lallana, Origi.

Trent Alexander-Arnold returns from injury as Liverpool make three changes for the Boxing Day clash with Newcastle United.

The full-back is named in defence in place of James Milner, who is ruled out due to a hamstring injury, while Georginio Wijnaldum and Xherdan Shaqiri start in midfield.

Naby Keita and Fabinho are on the bench.

      Great team.

Mods - any chance of a “make an example” ban for the first blert that says “not enough rotation for me.....”?

I've just got this sneaking suspicion that by 5 o'clock tonight we are going to be 6 points clear.

Strong team!! Would have prefered Fabinho for this with Hendo starting City and Arsenal games tbh. Also surprised no Moreno.

Glad to see this line up. Clearly not taking our foot off the gas.
Seems JĂźrgen considers this a must win, and is clearly sending out amesssge to City, you’re gonna have to go flat out to have a chance if catching us 😊

Interesting team - thought this was the one to rotate the front three a bit but JĂźrgen's obviously got a better plan!

do you know something JĂźrgen doesn't. These players are monitored more than any other players in history any sign of fatigue or tiredness would be spotted a mile off. We don't have the luxury of "resting players" until such times as the game is won

i like the line up and I am glad we didn't want to rotate too much, but others are entitled to an opinion. I don't understand tongue in cheek interactions though, must of the time people put the emote they go on to say something that's meant to be a joke but nobody understand the funny side of it.

If Hendo is gonna start against Arse and City. He will need to be sharp. He’s missed a few games this season for whatever reason. Needs minutes like everyone else.
I’d still prefer Fab with Hendo.

      Merry Xmas Ribs,

The joke is that some folks just live on their nerves and aren’t always consistent......

A good number of those that moan about too much rotation are the same folks that’d complain if we didn’t because they’d be worried we were tired by time it gets to the City game.

Nowt serious just a leg pull and of course everyone is entitled to a sensible opinion!

      Compliments of the season 🎄

Thought that was coming with regard to lack of rotation. Happy with the XI.

One game at a time and look to rest a few if we get a few ahead.

I know that 2 years ago in a season where we weren’t in Europe we fell off a cliff after new year partly because the team was shattered. We’re asking too much from the front 3 and it’s going to come back to bite us in a month or two - Citeh rotate 2 or 3 of their front 3 most weeks

Not surprised in that line up myself, unbeaten in 7 consecutive games & plenty of momentum behind us going into this one ,plus the old adage ‘if it’s not broken don’t fix it,
