He didn’t “pull his shirt” - the fact the FA even looked at the incident shows it wasn’t a good spot from the ref , it was very lucky that we didn’t lose Mo for games against Arsenal and City because of him going down far too easily

This is the quote after the FA charged Niasse

“to quote the FA in a previous case "Niasse exaggerated the effect of normal contact, the nature of the contact made by Dann was minimal and would not have thrown Niasse off balance and knock him down in the way he portrayed"”

That’s exactly the same as Mo - we are lucky the FA are inconsistent useless muppets

      Couldn't give a f**k, Man U got them for f**king years during the 90s.

Let me guess - you accepted them as penalties when the Mancs were getting them

In the 90’s a player couldn’t get banned now they can - we gor very lucky tbe FA are useless - next time Mo or another player could miss key games because of their stupid actions

If the penalty was correct then every single corner will mean a penalty because you see far stronger touches

the touch on Mo isn’t even to impede him

Two different discussions for me - corners are a nonsense now. There should be half a dozen every game for me to stop the cuddling!

Wasn't arsed as I don't support Utd and couldn't give a f**k about the mancs, but that's the kind of luck we're getting this season - then keep it f**king coming.

But quite possibly a reality as it has already happened to other players and Klopp has already warned Salah about his diving

But I’m sure next time an incident like this occurs against us you will show the same grace as you do now. Maybe it’s just me who prefers to win a bit more cleanly - I don’t want to be like the Mancs in the 90’s with their dodgy penalties etc - I don’t want to give other inbred fans the ammunition to point fingers , we lose all moral high ground.

I'd just prefer that refs were a bit stronger in general, more because that's the way I wound like to see the game played at all ages.

Sorry but Salah wasn’t impeded - Dummet didn’t pull him back and the touch was minimal,Salah not for first time went down too easily - if that happens against us you would been screaming at the ref claiming dive etc

If contact like that means a penalty in the area then every single corner will have one because every single CB touches a forward like that.

It’s not a bad thing to say we got away with one

Give your arse a chance ffs.

Think the biggest issue is the difference in refereeing when fouls happen inside or outside the box. If any player, between the two penalty areas, goes on a run and gets pulled by his arm or touched on his shoulder like Salah was, the vast majority of the time the referee will blow his whistle even if the player doesn't go down. Most of the time the player committing the foul will receive a yellow. We'll usually call it a 'professional foul' or 'taking one for the team'.

If Salah stays on his feet there, we're not getting a penalty. Simple as that. If it had happened in midfield with him staying on his feet and perhaps throwing his arms up, we'd get the foul.

The biggest issue really is the inconsistency from referees rather than Salah making a meal of it. If referees would actually reward players by giving penalties when they are fouled but do (try to) stay on their feet, like Salah's goal against Bournemouth, players wouldn't feel the need to go down in order to get the penalty they do deserve. Players go down because they feel that the only way to get a penalty, is to go down, even if there's minimal contact that might cause them to be off-balance.

I don't like Salah going down like that at all and it was a soft arse penalty, one I'd be fuming at if given against us. Won't blame him for doing it though. It's the F.A and the referees that need to get their heads straight.

      Spot on.

Very different because it’s only a pull. He is ON the ball and there’s zero attempt by Dummet to play the ball only to impede.

      That = penalty.

Why are we evven discussing this nonsense? It was a pull on shoulder and penalty - no question. Yes, he went down bit easily but it doesn't mean it is not a penalty. All others go down at a mere blow of the wind (Spurs in particular) and no one bats an eye lid, especially the British media for whom Kane is the 2nd coming.

Come on - enough. Get on with the next game.
