What a massive game, we need to go out and play our game. We are better as a team. We cannot lose. A draw is the minimum, I won't be happy with a point but can live with it. We need three points.

Hendo Millie and Gini to start for me. And first 30 we should play over the top for Mo to run at Zinchenko who will be c**ping himself!

I really enjoy the idea of City needing to win this match after dropped points over the festive period, it really play into our hands as oppose to what they did to us at Anfield earlier in the season, I believe it gives us a better chance of getting a result. As for the line-up I can see Shaqiri getting dropped for Hendo and the rest of the line-up staying the same. I expect Salah to be the focus of attack as they will have to use make shift full back defender or Zinchenko at LB

      Quick Random Stat.

If the League had been played over the calendar year 2018 we and Citeh would both be on 88 points with them just nudging it on GD.

I was starting to get wound up about this but I don't really think we have to. We very rarely make stupid mistakes that lead to us conceding goals and we are scoring more this season than last and have a better Goal Diff than City. As much as we may be nervous about the game imagine how they feel knowing that a defeat will give Liverpool a lead that will take some clawing back and mean they cant afford to lose another game.
So its bound to be a high scoring 0=0 draw

The onus is all on them, whether its right from the start or last 30  whenever they decide to have a dash they are up against the quickest most dangerous forward line in world football ,we have played the bus parkers we have played the so called other challengers for the Premiership  bottom line they get it wrong theyre fu**ed ,bring it on Pep

Just been looking into referees in general, Stuart Attwell from Nottinghamshire has it down he supports Luton. I'm guessing it's about as likely as somebody from Liverpool supporting Halifax Town.

Second leg in CL last season 😬
We can’t let them dominate the first half like we let them. Gotta start a lot more positive, which means keeping the ball better when we have it.
Wont mind the same eventual outcome, if only my old  ticker could take it 😁

I can’t see that happening - last time they went for broke as they were 3-0 down.

It’ll be cagey at first but I genuinely think we can sneak a goal - it’s all about who outscores who!

Is this not the same Anthony Taylor that everyone cries about being a United fan every time he referees our games?

F**k him and F**k Manchester we're taking 3 points here regardless of who's in charge.

Well what a game this could be, we could end up a massive 10points ahead of City when about a month ago we were trailing them on points and GD. Let’s start 2019 off in the same way as we finished 2018.

We have been just plain bad so far on the road, but we also play the best football of our season right now. Tough call. I'd be happy with a draw. No Fabinho and no Keita, they are not reliable enough yet.

Best ppg and defence and third best strike rate, away from home, in the Premier League. Struggling to match that with your sentiments of plain bad on the road.

The boys will score a *minimum* of 3 goals (Hendo, Milner, Mane). Winning shall largely depend on the number of goals conceded.

Expecting an aggressive encounter with a possible red card for Fernandinho. (and/or Keita if he starts)

Can’t wait for this game, yeah they are a great side but we are top of the league for a reason, the media would have us all believe that this lot are akin to the Brazil side of the 70’s, a force of nature or  the arse ( the invincibles team) but they are anything but & I’d go as far as to say on the grand scheme of things ‘who the F**k are they’? So what if they’ve won a few league titles( look at our  history & there neighbours if they want a worthy comparison ) ! Before they were bankrolled they were no marks & moreover  we F***ing blasted them off the park last season & in the European cup so have no fear red men we are bringing the 3 points back to anfield 1-3.
