Clyne is a specialist RB and when fit a good one so until Trent is fit I think he is a shoe in and it gives Trent time to get himself right

Well... he's off to Bournemouth on loan.

Klopp really doesn't rate him highly.

Makes zero sense unless 1 lined up. Trent wont stay fit all season. Then were down to Gomez who mydt be in beside VVD and Milner, or the kids.

is this confirmed? seems a strange one unless there is something in the pipeline.

on skysports now mate. I guess he is happy with Trent, Gomez and Milner options at RB at the moment.

      Yeah Sky reporting it's done.

Agreed it's strange unless someone's coming in.

I think I am in the minority where I think Clyne is a good option and better defensively than TAA. Shame he is off.

Don't want to see Gomez anywhere near right back again.

Shouldn't be any need to move him out there, need to keep him in the centre where he has been excelling.

I never rated him to be honest. a very one dimensional player who isn't a good footballer. He might be defensively better than TAA but with the way Klopp plays we need full backs who are good with the ball. Clyne is more of an athlete.

Probably looking good for Joe in terms of injury if Klopp let Clyne leave at this stage of the season.

Was it the United game he played.  Thought he did alright.

Letting players out on loan when we're actually trying to win three competitions makes me nervous.

Not a big fan of weakening the squad mid season when there is so much at stake.
Hopefully there are more options coming through.

Not massively concerned. He barely got a look in last season when fit.

Did really well against United but I suspect it might mean seeing bit more Fab / Naby in middle with Milly spelling Trent at RB.

Unless Clyne is a disruptive influence what the F**k is the idea behind this form Klopp. You never know when injuries hit and he is a player who could play RB and even LB at a push. really weird decision and I pray this doesn't bite us in the arse.

      Agreed.
If it hadn’t been for injuries he wouldn’t have even played that 1 game this season.
I don’t rate him at all so I can’t say I’m bothered. I remember a couple of people getting hot under the collar because I said he’s likely to only play 1 game, although I was expecting that to be the FA Cup.
Can’t see how it’s likely to backfire on us, he’s barely ever in the matchday squad so it shows his value to the team. We have Trent, Gomez, Milly and Fab who can all play there

Can see him doing alright at Bournemouth though, think it’s a good move for him.

good point about FA cup, I hope we don't pick up an injury against Wolves. Could really screw up our league campaign.

And Rafa Camacho who has been in and around the first team squad in recent months  who I'd imagine will start right back at wolves Monday

The young Dutch kid looks a real talent too

I agree I find the Clyne move a strange one but I'd had him pencilled in mind for Robbo cover to be honest

I would be surprised if he starts/plays, I think he is off to Lisbon few days after the Wolves match?
