      NB: Team no longer available

      Migs
      Hoever
      Milner
      Lallana/Jones
      Shaq
      Sturridge
      Origi

Gut feeling says Hendo is too erratic for CB and Fabinho showed he was composed enough to play there for the time being.

Feel like we need Keita to find his feet so he starts ahead of Shaq who annoyed me when he only decided to pull a finger out once the big boys came on against Wolves.

      3-0 win.

City have Wolves this week, a Wolves team that has taken points off all the “top” teams this season apart from us, a Wolves team that will be high in confidence after knocking us out of the cup so I think there is every chance they come out of that game with a point.
As much as I hope you're right, I think City will rip them apart winning by 2 or more.

This match with Brighton is the sternest test of our title credentials this season, in light of recent defeats.  All eyes are on us with most (non-Liverpool fans) willing us to drop points and crumble.
Now is the time to put in a big performance and get a solid win to get our campaign firmly back on track and lay down a marker in the first of 5 must-win games.

Despite a poor showing on Monday, I'd start with Shaq behind the front the 3, as he's always effective against the lesser (outside top-6) sides.

      Saturday can't come quickly enough!

I'm not sure about Citeh v Wolves, it depends a bit on what team Pep goes with tonight, I suspect he'll play quite a strong team tonight to put the tie to bed, that is one extra game for the main players and Wolves are more than capable of harassing the hell out of Citeh who will have 2 extra days rest before the match. I still see Citeh as being a bit vulnerable at the back so if a team has a go at them, which Wolves will, then they are beatable.

You posted that Brighton are the sternest test so far. That's clearly not true. Wolves are a good team and we fielded junk players, Mignolet and Moreno.
FA cup was like a pre season game for us, so how is Brighton a sternest test so far?

People act like we have our tails between our legs or something.

I agree, Citeh was obviously the toughest match and a match we could have easily drawn or even won with a bit more luck on our side.

If we have ambitions of winning the league then we really should be able to beat a Brighton side which has been a bit hot and cold recently. If our players are fired up for it, and there is no excuse not to be, then we win. The good thing is that the majority of the players should be fully rested now and rearing to go.

Because we've just our first league game of the season (albeit lost to City), followed by another defeat (weakened team, etc.).  It's a stern test because we HAVE to win to get back on track.  There's pressure on to see how we react to the defeat/s.

Right now is must be safety first and put Fab at centre back.  This game is a must win.

So you don't rank how stern a game is by the quality of the opposition, just by the timing, ok interesting, not sure I agree but it may well be a slight factor.
Having said that the FA Cup defeat will have zero effect on the team, nor should the Citeh game which was a very narrow defeat to a superb team who were super motivated, almost desperate to win.

I fully expect the team to come out all guns blazing against Brighton, get a good solid result and send a message to Spurs and Citeh that normal service is resumed, we aren't going anywhere!

Have Brighton ever scored 5 goals in a game??

I honestly think that if we can get a nice early goal we walk this and improve our GD.
