Virgil is a monster, he will drag them all kicking and screaming over the line! Worth every penny we paid for him.

Didn't see the game today, but for me VVD is - over anyone else - the first name on the sheet, week in, week out. Colossus.

Very important to get the win after two defeats on the bounce. Took the controlled game a bit to far in the first half. Brighton are known for sitting deep with two banks of 4 then 5. Should've been a lot more direct. Klopp knew that and we stepped it up second half.

One of the big positives in this game is Hendo making those Stevie's passes and many were quality passes today.

Sorry, this I would have to disagree. Couple of long raking balls and that's about it!

Though I would say, I thought he and Wijnaldum improved second half (still could have been better imo), but that was mainly down to Brighton being slightly more adventurous due to them being 1-0 down.

Good result but the ref played a big part. Shouldn't be relying on that.

Yes defensively he is the best but he was a little off in the first half. Knocking it square far to much. He did it a lot less in the second half. To be fair Hando & Gini didn't show much vision in the first half but Klopp sorted it and we were much more direct and got the 3 points.

Do you think they could've had a penalty late on.

Looked like a possible handball by vvd but no one of brighton really complained

We got a penalty and they didn't, then everyone u turned their opinions. I'd like to see us go for it like we did against Arsenal.

could have but didn't. Some refs would give it. That's why I didn't give him MOTM.

Looked as if he headed it on to his arm. Ball to hand/arm. No penalty but Friend hasn't always been our friend.

      Salah pen was blatant.

Don’t think they’ve lost at home for a long time? That’s a good win today. They parked the bus and tried to play rugby. Frustrating to not be more incisive in the first half but overall we handled the game well.

Also, we really could have had a pen in the first half when Virgil was held by Dunk. Blatant holding of the arm and right in front of the ref. Amazing that it wasn’t called. Way worse than the one Lovren drew awhile back.

Job done. Well played lads. If we have to watch this type of football and win all the remaining matches like this, fine by me. By all means, bore us to death Reds, just make us happy in the end.

One of those games that we could make any amount of excuses for, never really got going, hard to watch and frustrating at times... and we still got the win. We’ve slipped up on these occasions so often in the recent past, it was great to see a mature, professional and dogged performance to get the job done.

Over the next few weeks we’ll have more rest time and more players returning to the squad, we kick on from here!

Loved Henderson in that second half, really stepped up along with Gini. Brighton couldn't get going apart from one little spurt at the end.

Mo still my MOTM for that moment of magic (pardon the pun)

Agreed, I thought it was a Brighton player who’s arm the ball hit.
