How is it weakening the squad when Jürgen sees Camacho as a better 'option' than Clyne and probably would never field the latter ever again?

An international fullback over an 18 year old winger/attacking midfielder playing out of position.  Wasn't a better option v united or the couple of games he came on for robbo. It's about options. My point is do we want to end up like the end of last season, dying on our arse and ending up bringing on not match fit players like can and lallana.

and what happens if Milner gets injured again, who do we play at RB then?

We have THREE options before Clyne.

You can’t plan for everything. sh*t happens.

Worrying about how you don’t have cover for a fourth string right back is a waste of bloody time and resources.

      Blimey.

      oh come on mate.
14 appearances for England, with the last one nearly 3 years ago?

He's barely played for us during that time.

Perhaps i am being overcautious. Just see it a risk however.minimal it may be that isn't worth taking.

But this isn't just about finding a right back for Palace TAA will be out for 5/6 games. A month or so will take him up to Mancheater United away. So he could miss Bayern Munich so this is a serious problem for Klopp. He might rue sending Clyne out on loan.

We have Milner but it's not ideal. I personally think it's a bit unfair to put Fabinho in there. I think loaning Clyne was a mistake as I would've played him even if TAA was fit.Not every time but having just TAA as your only specialist right back for such an important run in is a risky policy. A risk Klopp didn't have to take

I believe my post kicked off the Clyne posts. The loan might not have an impact. We know Milner can do a job there but it could easily be 6/7 games. It's obviously not his natural position and I think he has said in the past he doesn't like playing full back.

Clyne was loaned out even tho we had a couple of injuries to defenders. Obviously experienced players who are deemed surplus to immediate requirements are loaned out. Some have said he wouldn't play even if TAA was crocked. My view for what it's worth is Clyne is a good full back, full international, played 70 odd games for us and it would've been better to keep him available. But the boss didn't think so, and he must be confident we can cope without him. So be it.

Should we have genuine concerns over Zaha, given that we now don't have a specialist right full back. Zaha has 19 appearances with only 3 goals and one assist. Think we can deal with him, yes he has pace and along with Townsend ( 9 loan deals) gives Palace a decent pacy option.

I'll be surprised if Palace do very much damage to our defence. Much harder tests coming up.

Wijnaldum said he should be available for the Palace game, but can't see Klopp risking it.

dont be surprised to see Fabhino at RB as Matip is fit again, or milner as discussed.

Think it depends on Gini's fitness TBH.

But if Big Shaq plays we only need to 2 traditional MF, so Hendo & Gini or Hendo & Milner, or Milner RB and Fab & hendo if Gini not fit.

      options options. ;-)

In an ideal world I'd love to see a midfield three of Fabinho, Keita and Shaq, but I assume Fabinho will play in defence so Hendo, Keita and Shaq will do just fine and give us a decent balance between defence and attack.

We have to give Keita a run of games, there is a hell of a player there.

Whether people think it was right or not to let Clyne go out on loan, surely the club got it wrong by not having a call back clause put in the loan deal ?
Just in case we picked up even more injuries in defence, just a thought like.

Keita needs to get his finger out . He needs to show why he was worth the money and so far it's only been glimpses at best . Think he will come good though

I think as a 2 sitting holding away from home its fine, but in home games its not the best. I actually forgot about wee Naby, he might be in with a shout of a start, but I doubt it, his form is too sketchy.

I think Keita is getting bullied too easily so finding it difficult to adapt and Palace have some big boys in there.

Not sure if he's getting bullied. He's a strong lad. I think he needs to get up and keep with the attack.Get into the box. Shaq does that. Keita has the strength, the physicality for the Prem. He just needs 15-20 minutes of quality,to bolster his confidence, needs to get in there. I'm sure it's a mental thing with Keita, he needs a bit of reassurance just to settle him. I think Klopp knows that and there's no immediate rush. I would play him against Palace with instructions to get higher, chance his arm, get into the box.It will happen for Keita sooner or later.

He’s not getting bullied, far from it. He’s just doing himself no favours with his distinct lack of passing when he should. He won’t be concerned about Palace if he plays, he actually played well when we met last time and he was leaving them for dead with some of his touches.

Keita just needs a good run of games to get his mojo back. Palace would be perfect in my opinion.

Klopp at his preaser leaves open the possibility that Trent might play.

Either way, do not think Klopp will use Fabinho at right back . Need to get Fab back to midfield.
