Great result, but the defense really needs to sharpen up.

We really need another option at RB, I love Milner to bits and he's good going forwards but a real liability against pacy forwards. I would go for the RB of Palace, very good player, plus Zaha would be awesome in our team.

Yeah that's a great idea. Get a defender out of the side you've just scored 4 against. Great thinking that...oh and Zaha of course because any player who has a decent game against us we just HAVE to get don't we?  Actually why don't we just buy the whole f**king Palace side while we're at it? Yeah, let's carve out this side that is top of the table and replace it with a side that is FOURTEENTH in the table.

Thereā€™s only one player from them Iā€™d like to see us take and thatā€™s Wan-Bissaka. He is going to be one hell of a player IMO. Him and Trent at RB would have us sorted for the next 10years+

Would have Zaha as well - maturing as a player and adding a better end product.

Careful now you'll have posters saying it's ridiculous to buy players from teams you've beaten!

Playing in a Palace side with no strikers and little midfield creativity though.

He's a very good player too good for Palace IMO.

I think Trent is a better player.

And AWB is too good to be a bench player at a big club.

I can actually see United signing him in the Summer.

That was the type of win City were picking up regularly last season -- a bit scrappy, one or two moments of good fortune, but 3 points nonetheless.  I'm really starting to feel confident that this is going to be our year!!

He's isn't though. Townsend has bigger numbers than him this season yet Zaha is a far superior player. I think he would be devastating on the left for us under Klopp.

Also I donā€™t think Southampton and Hullā€™s defences were up to much when we signed Van Dijk and Robertson.

Couldn't get a stream to watch the game today but it sounds like it was one hell of a game. We always seem to have thrillers against Palace and today was no different by the sound of it.

Fair play to Milner, that boy will play absolutely anywhere. To put him up against Zaha was a massive challenge for him. This is a massive result for us today. With our defensive injuries we could have been forgiven for drawing today. The right flank of our defence has been decimated and fair play to the lads who are stepping in and doing a job, even if it is not to the standards of their peers.

I said at the start of the Season that this squad lacked depth and it has showed recently, that is not to take anything away from those who have stepped in when required. Letting Clyne go out on loan was a mistake in my eyes but Klopp must have had his reasons, i trust him implicitly.

We had a defence running at 60% output today and still we won.

We have won 7 games this Season that in the past we would have drawn or lost. We have eliminated that achilles heel and are looking mentally stronger than in previous Seasons.

With injured players to return after the break and players yet to hit form it just makes this achievement so far even more rewarding.

      It is coming.

      Believe.

What a weird game this was. Going into it i thought Alisson would have do to jumping jacks to stay warm and awake but ended up having to pick up the goal from inside the net 3x. Playing Palace i thought it'd be a tight 1-0, 2-1 game, but def not a high scoring one. Palace are not bad going forward and probably would not be fighting for their PL life if they didn't have such an awful manager and tactics.

What a different the 2nd half was. After being defensively spotless the first half, for some reason the first 10 or so minutes of the 2nd half Palace were unorganized and sloppy in their clearances and with the help of Lady Luck, who has been smiling at us all year long (except for the game at City where she was a total bi*ch), we were able to get over the hump in this one.

Feel for Milner as he struggled back there but when you're down to your 3rd choice in any position, a drop off in quality is to be expected. Getting the 3 points is all that matters and we're not always going to win pretty and its these type of hard-fought, grinding wins that show whether you are title-winning caliber or not, and we keep passing every test.

So now we get a winter break of almost 2 weeks, whilst we watch our rivals pick up injuries in domestic cup games. Perfect for charging batteries.

He couldn't hack it as a 20 year old in a United team he barely got a chance to play in?

      Yea ok.

I suppose you couldn't say the same about Salah?

Great win, we stumbled defensively and were still able to grind out a win. Thatā€™s what champions do.

As for Salahā€™s ā€œdiveā€. Yea he embellished but he was clearly being pulled back by Sakho and anywhere else on the pitch thatā€™s likely a foul so why not in the box?
