50 years ago this year in the same league fixture at Anfield I stood as a teenager on the Kop.
September 1968.

We were 4-0 up in in a quarter of an hour .  Alun Evans made his debut. Match facts and report as above.

Goals from "Rowdy" Yeats , Tommy Smith, Evans and Cally   right in front of the Kop all scored by the 12th minute.

Well so far they've beaten 2 out of 3 of these guys, so I really wouldn't mind the same outcome. But I get the feeling it's the lower teams they'll slip up against again. Quietly (very) optimistic...and by that I mean I was doing wheelies in my living room last night.
