good line up, positioning is a bit too narrow though, need to spread them out in the middle.

Funny you say that Ribs - convo I’ve had with my f-in-law many times watching a game.

The reason you set up like that is because the Fb push up into that space out wide. You need to leave space in those channels for them to run into.

Stringing a 3 man midfield across the width of the park is suicide - especially on a pitch like theirs. I expect the whole unit to drift over when required or when the opportunity to overload presents.

An interesting observation though and (bluntly) a mis-understanding that the armchair fan (no slight intended) makes all the time.

You're quite kind, wouldn't mind De Bruyne picking up an injury, along with Aguero, Sterling and Sane. Nothing serious, just enough to guarantee Liverpool champions.  ;D

Nothing heavy Rib. Just some broken legs will be enough.

It will not be easy it will be full of tension but I predict at 10pm on Monday we will still be top of the league no matter what City do today

City have 3 games this week which will leave 11 to play...if we are still top with some points in hand it will have been a very good week.

[quote author=Tadders link Handball by aguero but goal stands. And united winning as well not a good day. No excuses tomorrow must get 3 points. Hope we not talking about controversial decisions or poor referring. Everton away and united away coming up and they do Anything to turn us over. Must get these points tomorrow don't care how.

3 points is the order of the day but we are 2 points clear and no matter what happens we will end this game week at worst 2 points clear.

I have no doubts that City will close this gap whilst our back 4 is unsettled. If not this week then soon we will come unstuck.

I don't think anything is must win just yet. The truth is we will drop points before the season is out.

I think when we have right backs at right back and preferred midfielders in midfield we can start extending away again.

3 points would be fantastic but if we get smashed at their Olympic ground nothing will be over.

My biggest worry is we haven't been convincing for a while now. Single goal wins over Brighton and Palace which could have gone against us on another day.

We have to click again or inevitably results will dry up. We also have to stop being nervous wrecks on and off the pitch.

In a way I'm happier we are away from home due to the stress it felt everyone was under against Leicester. We had heads in hands as we extended our lead last game week. Home should be an advantage. We have to start playing it cooler than previous campaigns where it's all become a bit too much in the end.

I didn't see City stressing at 1-1 today against Arsenal and it is them who are playing catch up.

      We should win tomorrow.

This thinking has to stop. That 2 points clear then becomes them a point ahead.

We neef to lay a marker down. We must go 5 points clear and while thats the important part i think it would be an extra jab into citys face if we done it blowing west ham away in style because we have not looked anywhere near our best last few games

Why? He done well there vs Leicester. Much better than how Milner fared vs Palace.

Of course we need 3 points tomorrow. If not city be top by weekend. Everton fans are even saying on social media they be cheering city. Same when they visit united both teams roll over while they go to ends of the earth to beat us at goodison and old Trafford. Even spurs are only four behind and Ali and kane are nearing a return. I hope after all our near misses losing our last four Cup finals and missing out twice been so close to a pl title we can do it this year but its still guna be so difficult. Play with freedom reds relax and bring those points home tomorrow.

The panicking has to stop more. Every game being labelled must win isn't helping.

Panic is nowhere in my mindset. Annoyance would be to the fore if we finish the week 2 points ahead when 4 days before we should have gone 7

Of course. My point though is we can go 5 ahead again tomorrow. There has to be a psychological advantage to being those points ahead compared with those points behind. It should be City feeling the heat, they have to catch us now.

For now we sit at the summit of English football. Yes there is pressure but it should be nice pressure at this stage. The lads should be full of confidence that we sit top.
