Looking forward to watching the game, in my local on Tuesday. Very difficult to  predict the score line though. Think that I will leave it until the day of the game.

I would be less bothered if we had come outta the last break on fire and on form. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take us another two games to get going this time around.

I don't think they will be this time they have been back since Friday hopefully living on Raw Bloody Meat

What do you mean focus on the league - play second string against Bayern? That would be ridiculous if you ask me

Smacks of the Rodgers v Real Madrid fiasco..... and he blew it against the Chavs anyway in the following game.

Bayern are about to combust internally with continual player unrest and too many not seeing eye to eye with Kovac.

Hopefully we can take full advantage and smack them good.

Need to go for it tmrw night, there will be no rotation for the sake of it, but klopp wont risk anyone thats not 100% he never does.

Usual goes, get an early goal and I reckon we could win comfortably.

Probably the worst Beyern team in a long time, but still not to be taken for granted.

Shame Fab will have to play CB just as he was starting to put in some dominant performances from the base of midfield.

Bayern Munich face injury crisis as big names left out of Liverpool Champions League travelling squad

Bayern Munich face injury crisis as big names left out of Liverpool Champions League travelling squad. The Bavarians travelled to Merseyside without a number of their most recognised name.

Bayern Munich have been forced to name a youthful-looking 21-man travelling squad for their Champions League trip to Liverpool.

With Thomas Muller suspended and Arjen Robben and Corentin Tolisso already ruled out through injury, the Bavarians have been boosted by the inclusion of winger Kingsley Coman who had been a doubt for their clash with the Reds after limping off in Friday's victory over Augsburg.

However, they will have to do without the services of former Manchester City centre-back Jerome Boateng who misses out with stomach flu.

The German's absence means Mats Hummels and Niklas Sule are likely to start at centre-back on Tuesday night.

Franck Ribery has also been left out of Niko Kovac's squad for Bayern's trip to Anfield after the Frenchman became a father on Sunday night, though he is expected to join up with his team-mates on Merseyside later tonight.

Teenagers Lars Lukas Mai, Alphonso Davies, Meritan Shabani and Jeong Woo-yeong and Christian Fruchtl are also included alongside 21-year-old Maxime Awoudja.

Forward Davies has made three late substitute appearances since joining the club from Vancouver Whitecaps last month, while Shabani and Woo-yeong have made two and one appearances respectively so far this season, but Awoudja, Mai and Fruchtl are yet to feature.

Bayern Munich squad in full: Neuer, Sule, Hummels, Thiago, Martinez, Lewandowski, James, Rafinha, Goretzka, Davies, Jeong, Gnabry, Ulreich, Alaba, Coman, Awoudja, Kimmich, Mai, Sanches, Fruchtl, Shabani.

Robben is no doubt their biggest loss, but make no mistake, Gnabry is a good player and currently playing well. The other injured players are replaced with little drop in quality imo.

It's gonna be a difficult match and I think we will win, but I also think we will concede.

Yes I can’t see us not conceding either. But then again I can see us grabbing a couple at the Allianze Arena.

Robben is a big loss even at 50 years old or what ever he is.

A good few years ago when Robben was at Chelsea, a friend of mine was at a charity event/dinner with a few Chelsea players, and he was telling me how Robben had 2 girls sitting on his lap and hitting on another with a few flocking around him, lmao. My friend was bitching about how he looked 50, ugly and going bald, yet could still get the attention of hot women!  I wonder if Robben is still a sleazeball :D

Anyway, even at 35, he is still quick and a big game player, isn't he? I am glad he is out, especially with VVD out too.

I think we can cope with the loss of Bobby, either put Shaq in there or switch to 2 man attack and pack the midfield with an extra attacker.

I wonder if Shaqiri can play a false 9 role? Either way, I bet Shaqiri will be up for it against his old club.

Shaqiri is a doubt for the game too apparently.

      Trent, Fab, Matip, Robbo
      Hendo, Gini, Keita
      Mane, Bobby, Salah

But I wouldn’t be shocked to see us go with a makeshift 4-2-2-2if Bobby and Shaqiri miss out. Origi and Sturridge have proven they can’t be trusted to start when it counts most so probably then Milly would come in.

      Hendo, Gini
      Milly, Keita

      Or 4-2-3-1

      Hendo, Gini
      Keita, Milly, Mane
      Salah

Without doubt we have to go for the throat with their CBs. Expect a lot of play trying to get Salah in behind with his pace. Can’t see us going a great deal down Alaba’s side because he’s got pace.

We look to be without out of form Firmino.

Good job we have good enough replacements. Wait, those guys have hardly touched a match ball in weeks.. shame we didn't take the opportunity to give them game time when out of form Firmino was still playing every game.

He's out of form. Not his best season in truth.
