I do notice Wijnaldum can score goals if he moves into the opposition box. He did it for Holland and he did it last week. he will miss and score some chance. So, he has to move into the box more often and try to score some goals. Every goal counts from now on.

Has to be Salah. His goals last season led the charge into the top 4 and kept us there. He was a live wire against Bournemouth and I will be looking for a big performance V Mancheater U.

If he hits top blob on the run in we have a great chance and he can inspire others. So it's Salah for me.

About time he bagged one against those cu*ts

Van Dyke all day for me. He’s rightly being touted for player of the year and how often does a defender get anywhere near that award? He is the player we would miss the most. Allison, Salah and Mane would also be huge misses but VVD is the one.

However, come to think of it. I think It might be Robbo based on the thought of smote I down the stretch. Sh*t that’s scary, I think I just slightly pooed myself.

Alison for sure but outfield its so difficult because we have so many influential players. I have a feeling both Fab and Naby will start to make a huge impression over the coming weeks

It must be Van Dyke & Allison for me anyway, success is always built on having a solid defence.

van Dijk for me. He has transformed our defensive unit dramatically. No doubt that Alisson has been phenomenal but van Dijk edges it for me. The thought of Mignolet between the sticks could sway me though.

That back five is our future. Alisson, Arnold, Robertson, van Dijk and Gomez are the future of our defence. That is a defence that can win title after title.

      Good times ahead.

It’s a very close call between Alisson and Virgil ,but the very thought of Alisson getting injured and Migs reappearing in goals gives me the shivers , Keita coming on strong in the run in could be so influential.

Team game, but keeping VVD fit is massive.

Hopefully Lovren can be fit again soon, so he can at least have another CB as sub. ;D.

I think that Mo Salah is the crucial part although VVD is the close second. We would have big problems if both of them got injured.

I feel like a good measure for this would be who has been voted for the most man of the matches in post-threads on the forum this season. Do we have a count of this anywhere? Maybe a question for the mods?

Poll added. Those of you with hawk eyes will notice I've only put 10 players. Gone for the players that have played a big part in our season on a regular and consistent basis.

If I've missed anyone that is a glaring miss, just say.

For me, it's Alisson. Think we might be able to stumble our way through one way or another if we lost Virgil but if we have to rely on Migs in goal then we'd may as well throw in the towel, he'd probably concede the same number of goals in the remaining games as Alisson has all season!! Not forgetting we've gotten a few goals as result of Alisson's distribution too, don't get that with Migs.

Should be 'relatively easy' to set this up.  Added to the list of things for a next update.

All others on that list do their bit on a regular. We need someone to step out into the limelight now. Him or Lallana

Gini and Mane have been unsung heros this season, but this should be a straight up vote between Virgil and Alisson. Alisson started well, but hasnt been as impenetrable in 2019. For me Virgil has completely changed the dynamic/proposition of the squad since he came in in Jan 2018 - he's invaluable.

Virgil. We would not be where we are this season without him.

Robbo actually pips Mo for 2nd spot, because LB is where we have the least cover in the squad. Losing any 1 of those 3 though would be a big blow.

Interesting topic this. VVD is without a doubt the player we would miss the most if we were to lose him such is his influence on this team. However, a return to last seasons’ incredible form for Salah could be the difference in this title race. He has still been very good this season but we’ve not seen the long range shots and the spectacular goals of last year (he has been more of a poacher). If he could rediscover some of that magic we will win the title. He has also suffered with some dips in form (just coming out if one st the moment and he started the season very slowly)

It depends on how you view this, really?  If it's "Who would we miss the most if they were out?" it would be VVD or Alisson.  However, assuming both remain fit till the end of the season, both are in good form and are very reliable.  If Salah can get closer to last season's form for the remainder of the season, that could definitely be the difference between winning trophies & coming up short, so I've plumped for Mo.
