Video assistant referees (VAR) will be in use at Anfield for our ChampionsLeague clash tonight. There are four ‘match-changing’ situations VAR can be used for.

 Liverpool make two changes for this evening’s Champions League last 16, first-leg tie with Bayern Munich at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson return to the starting line-up, replacing James Milner and the suspended Virgil van Dijk.

Roberto Firmino is also named in the XI after recovering from illness, while Xherdan Shaqiri is on the bench.

It’s not going to be easy as we're missing our heartbeat in defence.
If the back 4 and Alisson manage to keep a clean sheet against some quite talented attackers then we would’ve witnessed a bit of a coming of age for us, when the chips were down.

We cannot underestimate Bayern as they’ve got pedigree in this grandest of cups.
They are obviously not at their best as compared to their lofty standards however neither are we.
If we click and show the fluidity we’re renowned for, which we showed with aplomb during most of last season and against Bournemouth in our last outing.

Key for me is the running off the ball and hustling to gain and regain possession of the ball.
When the press is evident, we play with such verve. It’s so exciting to watch.
