Impressed with our makeshift defence. Forward line don;t know what to do with the final ball to break down defence. No coordination between the front three, each playing for themselves. Tried to dribble ball into goal. Hardly any quality shots taken from outside the box.

Just didn't happen for us, too many stray passes, poor set pieces etc. Loose performance in general.
Bayern did defend well though, pretty solid, Neuer comfortable with ball at feet and never looked under much pressure tbh.
If have to pick someone out, thought TAA was really good, specially coming back from a layoff. Fab was good too at CB. And Hendo in the middle.
Positive note - we kept a clean sheet. Get a goal over there, in driving seat.
      Roll on the next one...

      Origi is a dreadful player.

Need to bin him along with Stu, Lallana, and Moreno.

Bar Salah's goal scoring, his alround game is pretty poor. I'm confident we won't concede with Van Dijk at the back in Munchen. I think the chances of going through are  Bayern 51-49 Liverpool. It feels so good to compete against the big boys after years in Europa League.

The positives - we didn't concede - the negatives...got a day or two to spare because they'll all be on here over the next few days.

They didn't have to be that great to keep us out TBH.

Henderson was excellent really did well but MOTM Fab never put a foot wrong never looked troubled and made Matip look like the one who has not played in that position much. Mo looked so out of sorts Sadio really strong if you could mix Mo and Sadio we would have the best player in the world. The clean sheet has been so important tonight and we will need a vintage Liverpool European away performance to progress

Personally, I thought we were much more controlled in that 2nd half. An improved performance. Not giving the ball away like in the 1st half. Can't really remember Bayern threatening our goal..

BUT - can't really remember us having a good chance either. That was the disappointment. Another 90 minutes, and could still have been 0-0. Still, not the worst result. A good clean sheet from our shaky defence, and onward to Utd now.

No injuries. No real problems. Now get the away goals.

We need a lot of hard work before Sunday, not least on corners and free kicks! I am not suggesting Utd are in Bayern’s class, but they are playing us and they’ll up their game two fold!

Hendo was great in the first half but Fabinho's my MOTM. Defended brilliantly and made a great tackle to deny Lewandowski on the one occasion he got a half opening.

How? They go into the 2nd leg without an away goal. Score draw will do us. They need to win or keep it at 0-0 until ET/Pens to progress. We get a goal and that’s their entire game plan out the window.

Am abroad at minute so my stream was hit and miss. Box to box I thought we played quite well but clearly some poor decisions in the final third cost us what would have been an important goal. Having said it’s important not to have conceded (particularly given our troubles at centre half) and maybe a few of the perfectionists in here might remember we were playing Bayern Munich.

Very disappointed with the wastefulness tonight. That performance had everything but goals and a lack of goals outside of the front three is becoming a major concern. We need to be much better at taking opportunities when they come our way. Voted Henderson MOTM, Captain's performance tonight. Keita's best game as well. Lots of positives, just need to find that clinical finishing we're lacking.

Wonderful Bayern - Disciplined Bayern - Experienced Bayern. The commentators' Bayern "love in" was ridiculous.

Apparently, all you have to do is fall down, waste time, half zero motivation to actually win a game, and you're the best there is.

EDIT: Klopp really needs to sort out our corners and set pieces.

I think a clean sheet is pretty decent - we will score over there and I’m f**king going !

0-0 arguably a fair result. Getting a clean sheet was half the job tonight and with a central defensive pairing we were a little unsure of, it's a credit to their efforts tonight. The attack however? That left a lot to be desired. Our full backs were exposed a bit though despite a tricky first half, Robbo contained things in his usual dependable self in the second. TAA - looked very rusty as to be expected for someone who's getting back to match fitness. His first full 90 in a while and the intensity and work rate of this game will have done wonders to get him back up to speed.

The midfield were generally superb, marshalled expertly and with style by Henderson who deserved more out of those playing ahead of him, such was his supreme performance tonight. By some distance my MOTM and that first half he was just perfect. Keita did well in the first, not really present in the second though he still has an issue of freezing the game to the point all attacking opportunity is lost when he gets close to the box. Gini was his usual reliable self tonight and like Hendo, let down by the poor play of his attackers in front of him. Certainly a midfield display that deserved to be on the end of a winning score...but for the attack.

I thought Firmino was excellent though it was clear that the decision was made that he could not play the full game, as explained by the Origi sub. Salah was very disappointing by his standards. Poor anticipation, poor link up play - a night to forget for Mo. Mane was a threat initially but his final ball/strikes in and around the box were really poor. They are really going to have to sharpen it up if we are to have a chance in Munich and continue fighting for the league because I really expected better of them tonight.

Probably because we were battered in Naples and lost to PSG and Red Star as well?

In fact if you chuck in the final and the defeat to Roma we haven't won away (or even got a draw) in Europe since last season's quarter final.

Not being negative or anything :D

Shaken off the rust ready for Manure, these 10 day breaks are not helping us.
The key thing today was not conceding and we created enough against a packed defence to suggest we can at least get a score draw at the Allianz.

Not the best of games but pleased with some individual performances in the team.

Not our first 0-0 against Bayern and even though our European away form has been poor this season I'd still rate us at 50/50 to go through in 3 weeks time, which is probably what I thought when the draw was made.
