Only reason I can think of for not having TAA is because maybe he is not 100%?

Just noticed no Matic! Will be a very interesting midfield battle. Also, is this the first time we're gonna see a Hendo, Wijnaldum and Fabinho midfield this season? I sure as hell don't remember Klopp starting that midfield.

I would imagine Fab and Hendo sitting deeper with Gini buzzing around in front.

At least it’s not the Milner, Hendo, Gini combo!

TAA being sropped is likely to be a combination of fitness and experience - he didn't cope well at OT last season and we can't afford to lose this game … Milner won't let us down
Yeah,Apparently Trent not quite up to speed just yet,so as a few posters have pointed out it’s a fitness issue more than anything ,as for Milner if he goes RB got every faith in him can’t think of many games that James has let us down, yeah rashford is pacey but we’ve got a minge bag defence.

People writing this united team off must have goldfish memories

Think we've lost 7 of the last 9 at Old Trafford and our last win was 2014.

I think we'll win if we play close to our best but those saying they're 'sh*t and very beatable' are well off the mark.

not after Milner has made his first tackle on him on the half way line. Milner knows exactly how not to get caught out and of course Rashford is quicker but James Milner is no mug

If Martial was playing, he along with Rashford gives them great pace. Think with Mata in they will build slightly slower. I'm not worried about Milner. They should be worries about the pace we have. The balance has swung our way. Looking for a good performance. No excuses for not stepping up today.

It’s not often I don’t agree with Klopp’s decisions but I feel going with Milly instead of Trent is going to be a big mistake.

      Hope I’m wrong.

Actually like dropping Trent in favor of Milner. Trents last game was nothing to write home about and Miller’s experience in big games could prove to invaluable today.

      f***in BUZZIN !!!!

Fully confident and think we will tear these kunts a new one, get on our game with a quick tempo and we will win, they are missing key players, players that would have made it much more difficult for us, just imagine going into this without Fabinho & Gini, that's the level of player their missing, so a massive blow for them, so we need to take advantage,

Without the ball, get in their faces, restrict space and hit them on the break at every opportunity,  and be CLINICAL!!

Love to see us doing them by 3 or 4,  but id settle for a scrappy 0-1 .

Anything but Fabinho, I mean what on earth does the Brasil coach know!
F***ing hell why does Klopp insist on making it harder than it needs to be?

To be fair it was his first game back from an injury, excluding a cameo vs Bournemouth.

However good or poor they are, whatever performance we turn up with, I still think it’s down to scoring first. If it’s us we should win, if it’s them we have to break through the bus. If we can manage that, we’ll also go on and win it.
Hoping for another clean sheet for us, whatever the outcome, but it certainly won’t be a push over.
I’m assuming we can play to our full potential today, and we go in to win 0-2

nice to see the usual culprits getting right behind the team before a ball is even kicked . Moan all you want this is the team Jürgen picked and its the one going on to the pitch to play.
Defence is solid yes even with James at full back. The midfield has legs it has creativity and can defend and our forwards can take care of any defence at the highest level even UTD 's defence today.
Lets heap pressure on the lads because we are trying to win the league if they don't feel pressure there is something wrong with them.

Jürgen Klopp explains Trent Alexander-Arnold's absence from Liverpool team that faces Manchester United

Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold's absence from the Liverpool team that faces Manchester United on Sunday is not injury related.

The young right-back - who made his Premier League debut at Old Trafford over two years ago - is rested in favour of James Milner as Klopp's men look to open up a three-point lead at the top of the table on Sunday afternoon.

Alexander-Arnold only returned to Liverpool 's starting lineup for Tuesday's goalless draw with Bayern Munich after a knee injury that kept him out of action for four weeks.

However, Alexander-Arnold has not suffered a setback and is merely rested due to the packed fixture list over the coming weeks.

When asked to explain the tactical tweak, Klopp said: "Just because Trent was out for a while, played the last game and we have two games coming up."

“I don’t like to think too much about the games coming up usually, but it’s pretty much the first moment in the season for while that we could make a decision with Milly and we will need Trent in the next weeks very much.

“So I don’t want to do it today and Wednesday, for example, which is a difficult task and we have Milly available, that helps as well, so all good.”

Given our recent form going into this game, I'd take a draw today. Obviously would like us to win but we've not been anywhere near as clinical in front of goal as we were earlier in the season and I do worry that we will create chances but not take them.
