Everton are as bad as I can remember for a long time but it is a derby game and they are ALWAYS unpredictable but I fancy us to beat them quite comfortably this time. If we play with the same energy as we did against Watford then they simply won't be able to cope with us.

Once again, don't care about the team that starts, we should turn these over quite easily it seems like.

It’s a derby, we could be coming into this game with 10 wins in a row, and them 10 losses in a row, throw form out of the window, THIS IS EFC biggest game / home game of the season. They would absolutely love to win this game and possibly dethrone our title chances, for them taking 3 points away from us would be their  “treble” . Everyone needs to play to there best, as they will come out of the gate hot and heavy. It’s going to be another tough test for us again.

My only concern for this match is them being on search and destroy missions for knees and ankles. Hopefully the match referee will be on guard for that.

This might have happened 20 years ago, but it's really not a thing these days.

.I didn't say a thing about throwing games, and I think tackling being more intense or reckless in a Derby match isn't so far-fetched, is it?

The tackle put on Origi by Moi, was that 20 years ago?

Perhaps I should have said I don't fear losing this match, just someone being injured

I see plenty of it from others though, and any suggestion of Everton players deliberately targeting and trying to injure our lads is pie in the sky as far as I'm concerned.
Same with the rather silly posts about them throwing games.

Bad tackles happen in football, and in fact they happen much less now than they used to even when players are pumped up.
      It's football, sh*t happens.

I'd be more concerned about the shithouse ref to be honest.

I don’t think EFC throws games, it’s just seems that they lie down and roll over to teams we need them to take points from. The worst one (for me lately) was the 2013/2014 year when they completely didn’t show up against Man City at Goodison, they were even still in contention for a CL spot that season too. We know what happened that season that I would really like to forget.

The fact is, they're not a good team, so their fluctuations in form are more noticeable if they are missing even one key player.
Plus they have a smaller squad in regards to the number of decent players in there, rather than fillers and young lads, so they are more prone to tiredness and burnout.
It's normal, nothing sinister about it.

Yup that Origi tackle was a deliberate attempt to injure him, just need to look at Funes Mori reaction post event playing the hard man to the Bitters in the stands.

It kind of died with Ross Barkley moving to Chelsea because over recent years he got away with two or three red card tackles make no mistake.

He's just responding to Klopp's comments where he said it's Everton's world cup final, and if you don't think that goal was lucky, then you are obviously blind.

Marco Silva sounds a bit bitter doesn’t he, saying how we celebrated the winner against them like a World Cup final. I’d rather be celebrating like that in the hope it helps us clinch the title than celebrating like that because they’ve managed to finish mid table. Tosser.

      He did.
I'm not sure how much of it was malice though, and how much is the fact that he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

I used to cringe like f**k at people here suggesting we put a bid in for him.

Move the mindset from it being a derby. Its just  the next game and against a bang average mid table team

Play the game we win, play the occassion we might win or might drop 2 points

;D at the level of stupidity.

Klopp said after the Watford game ""Everton, we all know for them it's like a World Cup final" and Silva is just responding to it taking a shot back. And given Klopp ran into the field to hug Alisson i'd say Silva's shot is pretty on point. How f**king insecure are some of you lot, ;D.

I’ve got family who are Bitters. A couple are so incensed with hatred for us, they can’t bring themselves to say ‘Liverpool’ even though they were born and brought up in the city. So so strange. The anger, venum and aggression they exude when I get in conversation with them is scary. Never anything physical, but I sometimes fear for their sanity !
Me, I don’t really have an issue with them as it’s been sooooooo long since they’ve been a threat to us.
As was said earlier, play the game and not the occasion and we batter them. Not expecting any favours from Atkinson, but hope we’re talking about the game afterwards and not him !
